Physical: 6-foot-1, 180 pounds; Proportional, broad shouldered build. Pitching: Uses a center rubber setup while using a side step. Mid chest leg drive with a slight coil away from the plate. Has a moderate stride landing inline with the plate. Long arm swing while demonstrating segmented stop and go action; low 3/4 slot. Square to the plate with finish. FB: Peak velo of 75 MPH, while sitting 72-74 MPH; straight action. SL: 64 MPH; lateral action. CH: 69-70 MPH; runs. Displays a good feel for all three pitches.
6/28/21
Physical: Well put together, strong 6-foot, 170lb frame with good connection on the bump.
Pitching: RHP - Started sideways off the middle/left side of the rubber; quicker pace and worked into a medium stack position (slight hip coil) hiding the ball well towards a fluid release at H ¾. Landed in-line at footstrike with on-time downward rotation, getting over the front side for strikes at 75-77 mph (heavy, arm-side run, 1850rpms average via Trackman). Mixed a sharp, two-plane 60-63 mph CB at an 11/5 tilt, missing barrels consistently for strikeouts. Ability to add a third offering as he continues developing; good, athletic strike thrower that shows feel to spin the baseball.
