6/28/21

Physical: Strong, projectable 6-foot-4 220lb XL frame with lengthy proportions. 7.60 runner in the 60-yard dash.

Offensively: RHH - Wide, balanced stance as the hands wiggled back/forth in rhythm at the shoulder. Utilized a short and quick, lift and replace stride to initiate the swing through a fluid, slightly uphill path into the hitting zone. Able to slot the hands early and find extension at the front of the plate, maintaining balance while hitting into a stiff front side towards a deep finish. Showcased a heavy barrel during BP, lagging to the tune of T93 mph bat-exit velocities (via Trackman). Extra-base hit approach and did most damage to the pull-side gap (336 foot batted ball, 40% fly ball rate). True middle of the order type skillset and more juice on the way as he continues refinement.

Defensively: The primary outfielder demonstrated corner projection, operating with length and feel in the routes, getting the chest down over the toes at the fielding window from a moderate posture. Funneled softly after corralling off the left side, working into a crow hop and released from a full, H ¾ slot (80 mph arm, accurate).

2/19/21

Physical: 6’4 225lb OF ran a 7.72 laser timed 60-yard dash. Strong frame has above average size with room to add more speed and quickness.
Offensively: He starts in a shoulder width stance with his hands quiet just above his rear shoulder. He uses a short step forward and small hand load, keeping his movements simple throughout the swing. His barrel path works down to the ball before working up through contact. The ball jumps off of his bat because of his natural size and strength.
Defensively: He moves well as he approaches the ball and uses his natural size and strength to allow his momentum to flow through the ball. His arm shows strength and accuracy with good carry behind it.

7/29/19

Offensively- the right handed hitter stands in the box in a tall stance feet shoulder width apart. Short simple load. Marchese sprayed the ball all over the field during batting practice. Defensively- the outfielder displayed active footwork. Smooth exchange to a quick release from a high ¾ arm slot. Pitching- the right handed pitcher displayed a repeatable delivery and a projectable live arm. Marchese works off a mid high knee lift and a smooth early hand separation. FB peaked at 78 MPH and CB range was 56-58 MPH. Marchese is a 2022 graduate with a projectable frame. A must follow.
