Bowrosen, currently ranked as the 3rd best prospect for the class of 2020 continues to impress at every event thus far, checking in at 5-foot-10 and weighs 155 pounds, ran a 4.19 from home to first. Offensively- Begins from a square balanced base, knees slightly bent, with the hands above the back shoulder, ear height, and barrel of the bat 45 degrees to the ground. Lifts the lead foot, with a 45 degree angle towards the pitcher, while the hands are loaded straight back getting outside the back shoulder and barrel of the bat stays at 45 degrees with a slight wrap towards the pitcher. Showed pop, from the center of the field to the pull side line, getting thru the ball very well, especially on pitches from the middle out location. Pitches on the inner third, tends to rush the hip thru causing a pulling off action. Good looking prospect that recorded an exit velocity of 82 MPH, a jump of 3 MPH from the previous event. Defensively- Athletic and fluid movements to the ball getting the body into a pre-pitch movement using a modest two steps. Fields the ball from the center to left side of the body then transferring the ball from the chest area. Arm action tends to get a bit long, not traditional of an infielder, but throws show plus carry and accuracy recording an arm velocity of 79 MPH, (+5 MPH) from August of ‘16. Pitching- Starts from the third base side of the rubber with both hands held chest high. Gets to the gathered position of the delivery using a step towards the first base side while the pivot drags to past the center of the rubber to the first base side, hands elevating to the height of the right ear and lead knee getting slightly above the waist with no inward rotation of the lead hip. Sticks the landing with the lead toe pointing towards the catcher while the lead elbow stays inside the body getting down to the lead hip and getting quality bag leg extension. The fastball, thrown from a high ¾ to almost over the top angle, showed life and run topping out at 79 MPH, but has been as high 80 MPH at previous events. Also featured a 2-seam fastball between 76-78 MPH, that showed some arm side run but stayed up in the zone. Displayed a good feel for the change-up as well as a quality differential from the fastball, topping out at 70 MPH. The changeup showed plus arm side fade as well as quality depth. The curveball showed sweeping 11-to-5 shape while topping out at 67 MPH. Early projections had this player to be an impact two-way prospect at the next level.
