6-foot-2, 176-pounds, lean build, athletic and ran a 7.02 60 yard dash. Arm strength shows carry to the plate, 79 mph arm-strength. In the box, slightly opened and upright stance, relaxed. Creates power off his back leg, stays on the ball well, fluid path. Compact strong hands, 87 mph bat speed.

Pre-Season - East (February 22, 2018)

Kyle stands 6-foot-2, creeping on the 180 pound mark with signs of athleticism. on the day his measurable numbers were impressive,  running a 4.33 home-to-first, 79 mph arm velocity from the outfield, and a well above average exit velocity of 93 mph.  at the plate he uses a slightly upright wide stance, relaxed hands by his back shoulder, small stride on the pitch for timing, barrel is direct with a slight uphill path full extension producing above-average bat speed with power projection in his future.  defensively, gets the ball on his glove side, body behind his throws, 3/4 slot, shows pretty low effort level to his arm speed but still generating 79 mph indicating plenty more in the tank when he becomes more aggressive.  he also work from the mound with a simple paste with delivery, throws from a high 3/4 slot with a Fastball The peaks at 79 mph, curveball shows advanced spin, 12/6 action.

WNY All-Star Games (September 24, 2017)

Wayman stands in at 6-foot-1, 170-pounds with a lean athletic frame. Offensively- Righty sets up square to the pitcher with his feet wide outside shoulder width. Shows a slight knee bend with an upright torso holding the bat in front of the back shoulder using little pre-pitch bat movement. On pitch, his trigger is a quick knee raise in towards the back leg to stride forward while his hands move back into the hitting position. Utilizes good lower body rotation getting his whole-body frame involved in the process of the swing. Shows quick hands into the hitting zone with a level barrel path throughout into a high two-handed finish. Demonstrated line drive ability up the middle and to the pull side during batting practice round. Showed a clean, fluid swing making solid contact. Recorded an exit velocity of 81 MPH, 1 MPH shy of his previous best recorded mark of 82 MPH in February 2017. Defensively- Good approach and footwork getting to the baseball. Gets underneath well with an appropriate outfielder arm swing gaining momentum towards intended target. Crow hop mechanics and transfer could be quicker throughout the process of getting the ball in, but will improve with more development. Recorded a positional arm velocity of 77 MPH, 2 MPH shy of his previous best of 79 MPH set in July 2017. Pitching- Sets up in the middle of the rubber with a simple side step and a high leg raise above the hip crease. Breaks down well with good separation into a low ¾ release point. Reliable with his mechanics and gets whole body involved in the pitching delivery. Consistent throwing strikes in the zone and able to spot all pitches down. Fastball range was 76-78 MPH and peaked at 79 MPH with good arm side run. Curveball was 67-68 MPH showing good 12/6 action. Overall a  talented 2020 graduate to keep an eye on.

Campus Series- St. Bonaventure (July 11, 2017)

Wayman stands in at 6-foot-1, 160-pounds with a lean athletic frame. Ran a 4.53 home to first, slightly faster than his previously recorded best of 4.63 set in February 2017. Offensively- Righty sets up square to the pitcher with his feet just outside his shoulders. Shows a slight knee bend with an upright torso. Holds the bat just above the back shoulder using little pre-pitch bat movement. On pitch, his trigger is a quick knee raise to stride forward while his hands move back slightly into his hitting position. Has quick hands into the hitting zone with level barrel action throughout into a high two-handed finish. Utilizes good lower body rotation getting whole frame involved in swing. Shows a smooth fluid swing demonstrated in his batting practice round with gap to gap power potential. Recorded an exit velocity of 81 MPH, just shy of his previous best 82 MPH set in February 2017. Defensively- Good approach and footwork moving to the baseball. Could use more of an aggressive crow hop to gain momentum on the throw. Good outfielder arm swing but could throw downhill more towards target. Recorded a positional arm velocity as an outfielder of 79 MPH.

Winter Open (February 26, 2017)

Athletic frame at 6-foot-0 160 pounds. The OF ran a 7.50 60 and a 4.63 home-to-1B. Offensively-  Balanced and even setup; loads hands straight back with a 30 degree bat angle. Stays behind the ball well with a direct swing path. Can work all parts of the field and will develop into a gap-to-gap hitter. Exit velocity at 82 MPH. Defensively- Active approach into the ball, can field out in front like an infielder at times. Additional aggression into his crow hop will help carry momentum into his throws. Will need some fine tuning here. Arm strength (71 MPH) and footspeed will be long term focal points. Offensive foundation is there and something to build upon.
