6/26/18 A righty bat that starts in an athletic stance. Uses a toe turn for timing as hands stay quiet throughout load. Easy stroke on a level plane, offering slightly more strength than speed through the zone. Line drive abilities with some added authority to pull side. At third base he plays with athletic feet, cutting down distance off the bat. Ball skills are on par for class. Looks to have feel for the position. Tossed it across the diamond with accuracy using a ¾ slot. Behind the dish he creates good direction with feet during exchange. Has fluidity to his actions and tossed to second base with accuracy. Exchange abilities are on par for class and should see easy improvements in pop times as arm strength increases. 60-yard dash: 7.39 Pop Times: 2.13-2.29 Catcher Velocity: 60 Infield Velocity: 70 Exit Velocity: 80
5/29/18 R- bal, sh str/h back, level, finds barrel often, + bal/sep, balanced combo A righty bat that starts in a balanced setup. Uses a slight back load with hands during short stride for timing. Launches from a balanced position with solid separation at foot strike. Swing is level and he has feel for finding the barrel. Offers a balanced combination of strength and speed through the zone. Behind the dish he shows quickness to both feet and transfer. Once arm comes along strength wise he should see easy improvements in pop times. Already has accuracy to his throws. 11/18/17
A right-handed hitter at the plate. Holmes starts in an athletic setup prior to his short stride forward. Hands move back during stride creating balanced. Swing is level and strength is apparent. Ball jumped off his bat, especially when he found the inside of it. Middle of the lineup type guy who can find the gap. Ran a 4.75 from home to first and reached a top exit velocity of 80 mph. Behind the dish he recorded pop times of 2.19-2.29 and threw with 69 mph arm strength to second base. Also worked out in the outfield where he displayed fluid actions and played through the baseball efficiently. Ball skills are average to above average for the spot. Threw with 75 mph arm strength to home plate.
5/31/17 A righty swinger that starts in a tall setup. Uses a kneep pinch to get things started while keeping hands simple. Path is level and his vertical bat starts gives him extra whip through contact. Was at his best when he worked the middle of the field. Has natural tools to hit in the middle of the lineup. In the outfield he uses quick footwork approaching the ball. Uses an exaggerated crow-hop for momentum. Would like to see a quicker transition from fielding into crow-hop. Threw with accuracy through a near ¾ slot. Behind the plate he starts in a mid crouch. Footwork is mechanically sound but will need to get quicker as he maturas. Arm action is short and clean. Throws were on the bag for the most part.

Behind the plate, he starts in balanced stance with feet just outside of shoulders. He shows some length to his footwork with a long jab step.
