RHP/1B, (2023) Anthony Wayne, OH. 6-foot-4, 200-pound. At the plate, the left-handed hitter had a max exit velocity of 90 mph. (65.8 mph bat speed average). (21.7 mph hand speed average). Started in a balanced athletic stance with a compact load, then used a controlled stride. Had quick bat speed, short simple swing plane and good extension on his finish. Solid while in the infield, made throws at velocities up to 75 mph; shows a natural exchange, consistent feet, and soft hands. Movements laterally were athletic and he fields the ball out front. Showed a high ¾ slot and a quick arm action. Clocked a 60 time of 7.5 at the event. On the mound, using a loose arm action he showed quick arm speed from a high ¾ arm angle. Drop-and-drive type pitcher and uses easy effort. Showed a consistent balance point. Produced a fastball that came in at 76-78 mph. Has slight running action. (Max spin 1802; Avg 1630). Throws a 11/5 curveball (68-70) that has some slurvey action. (Max spin 1806; Avg 1722). He shows slight fading action on his changeup (72-74).
Drew Pfundt: RHP/1B, (2023) Anthony Wayne, OH. 6-foot-4, 200-pound projectable frame. Solid at the plate, the left-handed hitter had a max exit velocity of 84 mph. Starts in a balanced tall stance with a smooth controlled load, then uses a short toe tap stride. Had a level swing plane, above average bat speed and level finish. He barreled up multiple balls with some loud contact. Gap to gap approach. Solid while in the infield, registered his best throw across the diamond at 72 mph; has firm hands, average feet, and a natural lengthy exchange. Movements laterally were average. Recorded a time of 7.7 in the 60-yard dash. Projectable on the mound, showed good arm speed, also used a loose long arm action with a ¾ arm angle. Slow-tempo type pitcher and uses some effort. Balance point is tall with an even shoulders during delivery. Lands open with an athletic finish. Produced a fastball that came in at 80-81 mph; has a command in the zone that shows heavy movement. (Max spin 1824; Avg 1649). His changeup (69-71) shows sinking action. He has sweeping gradual action on his slider (65-66). (Max spin 1797; Avg 1673).
