A two-way prospect that will almost certainly continue to do both once he steps on campus at Lake Erie. A true switch hitter that is almost a mirror image mechanically but does show subtle difference as he pulls the trigger. On this day swung with more intent and had a bit louder pop from the left with more feel/barrel control from the right. Natural tools are above average through the zone from both sides. A middle infielder with athletic actions. Plays fast with a reliable glove. Looks to have twitched up since the last time we’ve seen him, displaying quicker feet and improved lateral mobility. On the mound the right-hander works with an uptempo pace. Delivery requires some effort. Works through a high-¾ slot with obvious arm speed. Fastball stays mostly straight through the zone at 84-86 mph. Spins his 11/5 shaped breaking ball in the zone regularly at 69-72 mph. The pitch has present swing and miss with impressive bit down in the zone. Also spins a true slider with good plane and tight action across the zone at 74-75 mph.
