Ability to throw for a strike in any count. Changeup: Slows delivery a bit while pitch works straight downward at 66 mph. Body Type: 6-foot-3, 180-pound thin frame with room to fill out. Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Smooth arm action from a low ¾ arm slot. Uses his long levers well and has a crossfire type delivery by throwing across his body that creates a lot of deception. Fastball: 75-78 mph pitch with late arm side run. Breaking Ball: 65-66 mph pitch with tight, slurvey type shape and spin. Good pitch. Changeup: 70-72 mph and mostly true through the zone with some arm side run at times. Pitchability: Solid command of all three pitches. Showed ability to throw slurvey breaking ball to both sides of the plate well. Role: Being a guy whose best pitch is his breaking ball points to him as more of a bullpen type.

Right handed class of 2020 pitching prospect. A low effort delivery that uses a small leg lift. Directionally sound toward home while taking momentum creating in the motion through the entirely of delivery. Fastball has occasional run to the glove side at 74-78 mph. Curveball works with big gradual 11/5 depth at 61-66 mph. Was able to backdoor that pitch multiple times to LHH. Changeup shows some downward fade at 67-68 mph. Feel for the pitch while constantly being in the zone. Seems to be the go to offspeed offering while currently being the better of the two.

An athletic, projectable frame at 6-foot-1, 168-pounds. Features a low effort delivery, working with a slower pace. Arm long/compact through a ¾ slot. Creates tilt making his fastball work downhill with some late run at 77-79 mph. Spins a sweeping slider that was tight to glove side with a loopy look to arm side at 69-71 mph. Changeup shows consistent dive at 72-74 mph.
5/31/17
Starts in a balanced setup at the plate. Takes his hands to launch during short stride forward. Bat path is down hill with developing bat speed. Would be aided by getting more out of his lower half during loading sequence. Contact type guy at this stage. On the mound he starts with a slower tempo before speeding up at balance point. Works through a near ¾ slot with some quickness to his arm. The combination of his arm slot and landing slightly closed puts natural run on his 67-68 mph. Spins two different breaking balls. Curveball has a 10/4 shape with gradual break at 56-58 mph. Slider is the sharper of the two breakers. The offering darts across the plate at 60-61 mph. Also flashed a 50-53 mph knuckleball that had some dance to it. Slusher was impressive with the ability to locate all his offerings early in the count and using breaking balls as a chase pitch to get outs.

Gets rid of the ball quickly. On the mound, the 2020 prospect displays whippy like arm action while he throws through a ¾ slot. Offers a variety of different pitches on the bump. His fastball displays arm-side run while sitting between 70-72 mph. Breaking ball displays some slider-like movement at 58-63 mph. Also mixes in a 57-58 mph changeup and a 57-58 mph knuckleball.
