2/12/17
5-foot-10, 190-pound very strong frame. Eichbaum, a Campbell commit, spun two of the best breaking balls we saw all day to compliment his 85-87 mph fastball. The Tippecanoe standout can break his very tight, sharp slider into the zone or out of the zone. Eichbaum’s 12/6 curveball has impressive depth and is tough to pick up spin before it breaks off the table. Eichbaum is coming off a knee injury and has obviously used his recovery time in the weight room and batting cage. With noticeable strength to his frame, Justyn Eichbaum showed off a more fluid, efficient swing. The Tippecanoe product stood out during batting practice for his ability to produce hard contact. He used both gaps while showing power potential to his pull side. Eichbaum has the natural tools to be a run producer at the next level. Aside from his batting practice, the outfielder also posted impressive measurables. He ran a respectable 6.93 60-yard dash after coming off ACL surgery, registered an exit velocity of 100 mph and threw to home plate with 92 mph arm strength.

6/7/16
A very talented two-way prospect with a 5-foot-10, 185-pound athletic frame. A talented two-way prospect that was recently coming off a knee injury. By his build when he showed up it was obvious he took advantage of the time off in the weight room. The added strength showed in batting practice as the ball jumped off his bat. He has good rhythm to his bat tip/knee pitch load that allowed him to consistently be on time. Has a slightly downhill path that limits power at times. Has power potential in there once he flattens out his bat path. Registered an exit velocity of 91 mph and ran a 6.94 60-yard dash. Graded out as the best arm at the showcase. 90 mph velocity from the outfield. He puts excellent backspin on the ball is tight all the way to the destination. Snap and release all above average. Only area of improvement would be cleaning up his routes to the ball. On the mound he has a smooth tempo to a delivery that requires little effort. Above average armspeed with short arm action. Fastball sat 86-87 mph with run at times. Showed off one of the better breaking ball of the day as it dropped off the table before getting through the zone at 67-71 mph. Also mixed in a 79-80 mph changeup. Would expect him to continue to do both at the next level with slightly more upside as a position player.

8/23/15
5-foot-10, 185-pound athletic build. Right-handed hitter that starts slightly open and gets to even. Easy, fluid load with looseness in his hands. Quick, short, flat swing that stays in the zone. Registered top exit velocity of 77 mph and 4.53 home to first. From the outfield he uses a good run thru and shows good arm strength of 87 mph from a high-3/4 slot. On the mound he has a compact delivery with a short stride. Good direction and throws from a high-3/4 slot with fastball sitting 84-86 with arm side run. Spins a breaking ball with good 11/5 tilt at 72-74 mph and shows a hard changeup with fade at 78 mph
6/8/15
5-foot-10, 185-pound athletic body frame. From the outfield he uses good footwork to approach ground balls, fielding the ball out front on his glove side, near his left foot. He transitions his footwork into a good crow hop, throwing with a clean arm action coming from an over the top angle. He reached a top velocity of 87 mph on his throws with some carry. Right-handed hitter starts from a balanced set up and uses an inward turn with his front foot as a timing mechanism. He has a fluid load with his hands moving back and swings with a mostly level bat path through the zone. He finishes high with a one-handed follow through. He showed good line drive production during his round of batting practice. Reached a top exit velocity of 87 mph and ran a 6.83 60-yard dash.

8/16/14
5-foot-10, 175-pound athletic build. One of the top players in his class and potential two-way prospect. From the outfield he is real aggressive with his routes and throws from a high ¾ slot with velocity of 88 mph. Right-handed hitter that shows some strength and bat speed in the box. Registered top exit velocity of 89 mph and 4.58 home to first. On the mound he has a slow tempo delivery that slightly opens up. Throws from a high ¾ slot with a fastball sitting 83-84 mph. Curveball has good shape and depth at 70-73 mph and throw a hard cutter with late break at 77 mph. He also throws a hard changeup at 76-79 mph.

6/16/14
5-foot-10, 170-pound athletic body frame. Outfielder, uses a long clean arm action coming from a higher ¾ slot reaching a top velocity of 87 mph on his throws. Can improve carry on his throws by creating a crow hop. Right-handed hitter starts in a balanced set up, using a hands back to shoulder trigger. Simple step and swing type mechanics line drive contact type approach, showing the ability to use both sides of the field. He reached a top exit velocity of 82 mph. From home to first base he ran a 4.34 down the line.

2/8/14
5-foot-10, 170-pound prospect with athletic frame. At this early stage, he shows above average tools in several different areas. Likely projects best as an outfielder. Shows athleticism in his feet.  Plays through the baseball and creates good momentum into his throws. Reached top velocity of 82 mph. At the plate, the right-handed hitter starts in a bit of an athletic crouch. Tends tend to bar in his load, but makes up for it with quickness in his hands (82 mph exit velocity). Uses short stride and maintains balance throughout swing. Slight uphill path with solid contact. On the mound, the righty uses a slow, deliberate tempo. Will get more out of his lower half as he speeds up his delivery. Fastball sat 78-81 mph showing occasional sink through high 3/4 arm slot. Tendency to slow down his arm speed on his 64-66 mph breaking ball. Also uses a 70-73 mph changeup with straight action as well as a 71 mph cutter with a small amount of bite.
