5-foot-10, 205-pound. Solid in the box, Ganzel recorded an exit velocity of 83 mph. Started in a balanced athletic stance with a smooth load, then used a short stride. Had average bat speed and a level swing plane. In his round he found some barrels. Line drive approach. Solid while in the infield, made throws at velocities up to 75 mph; had sure hands, and consistent average footwork. Uses his glove deep. Recorded a time of 7.95 in the 60-yard dash. Solid on the mound, has some arm speed and a ¾ arm angle. Slow-tempo type pitcher who uses some effort. Curveball (64-66 mph), changeup (71-72 mph).Threw his fastball 75-78 mph.
Scouting Notes: Physical presence on the mound. Strike thrower on the mound who mixed fastball/breaking ball combination well. Fastball was true and breaking ball had big, sharper action to it.
