6/17/20 Pitching
Scouting Notes:After a very strong day as a position player, Ziemnik showed he could be a weapon on the mound. Mixes entire arsenal/will throw any pitch in any count. Pitched backwards for most of the day which makes fastball velo play up. Filled up the zone throughout entire outing.
Fastball:72-74 mph

6/17/20 Position Player
Hit:Righty swinger that gets better each time we see him. All field ball flight with a ton of feel for contact. Squared up everything in BP.
Power:Continues to get more physical with quick hands through the zone.
Max BP Exit:79 mph
Max BP Distance: 266 ft
Offensive Projection:Multiple Roles.
Field:Very sure-handed defender with an ideal second baseman skill set. Moves light on his feet with very soft hands. Solid defender.
Throw:Arm continues to come along with an accurate delivery across the diamond.
Defensive Projection:2B.

2/22/20 Position Player
Hit: Athletic stance with a long lengthy swing that presents a good weight shift throughout the lower half.
Power: 78mph exit velo with a max distance of 229 feet.
Offensive Projection: Line drive hitter with run producer potential.
Field: Fluid footwork with comfortable gloves. Takes sharp routes to the ball which leads to an easier transition into throwing.
Throw: 73mph infield velo.
Defensive Projection: 2B.
Delivery Notes: A smooth and controlled delivery before a burst of power at the end with a tight ¾ arm action.
Fastball: 79-81mph with a 1900-2100rpm spin rate.
Curveball: 67-71mph with 11/5 movement. CB has that gaining momentum look to it
Changeup: 72-74mph Good arm action on CH

1/20/20 Position Player
Hit: Moves well in the box. Movements are efficient and he has good control over his body for age. Level path with feel for contact. A bit quicker than he is physical at this stage. All field ability.
Power: Line drive pop w/much more to come.
Offensive Projection: Top of lineup.

Field: In the infield  he had quick feet but took bad angles to the ball. He had a slow release but his throws had good carry on them.
Defensive Projection: Corner IF.

1/20/20 Pitching
Delivery Notes: Good mover on the mound with an easier delivery. Long back arm action that travels through a high-3/4 slot. Arm speed is on par for class. Nice, in-line finish. 
Fastball: Mostly true with some arm side life. Much more mphs to come down the road. Presently 70-73 mph. 
Fastball Spin Rate: 1800-2000.
Curveball: Slurvish look to it. Gradual action as it glides through the zone at 58-59 mph. 
Curveball Spin Rate: 1400-1600.?
Changeup: Uses a knuckleball as a change of pace. Solid feel for the offering that dances through the zone. 
Pitchability: Strike thrower for the most part.

Body Type: 5-foot-2, 118-pound prospect.
Swing Mechanics: A right-handed hitter that starts in an athletic stance. Simple loading sequence that leads to a balanced launch.
Hit: Contact bat that can use the entire field. Quicker than he is strong with his hands presently. Feel guy who finds the barrel often.
Power: Line drive pop.
Offensive Projection: Table Setter.
Field: In the infield he plays under control throughout sequence. Ideal second baseman skill set. Very sure-handed. Behind the dish he has quick feet/gets rid of it in a timely fashion. Threw with accuracy to second base.
Throw: Developing arm strength.
Defensive Projection: 2B.

Body Type: 5-foot-2, 118-pound thin build.
Swing Mechanics: Wide base with a lot of movement prior to launch. Barrel works on a mostly level path.
Hit: Sprayed the ball to all parts of the field showing solid barrel control.
Power: Limit power at this stage. 65 mph exit velocity.
Offensive Projection: Multiple roles.
Run: 4.84 H to 1st
Field: C - Clean footwork coming out of the crouch, quick/clean transfer to throw.  / IF - Good first step, shows good actions in the field. Glove is solid with clean transfer to throw.
Throw: Present arm strength is below average for the next level, 67 mph from behind the plate and 70 from the infield. Makes up for his lack of arm strength with quick/clean throwing mechanics.
Defensive Projection: TBD. Fundamentally sound defensive player who could fit into multiple roles.
Additional Comments: Young player that is advance beyond his age behind the dish. Will only get better as he matures physically. 

2/16/19 Pitching

Body Type: 5-foot-2 111-pound prospect.

Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Throws from a ¾ arm slot with a somewhat long arm action in the backside.

Fastball: 67-70 mph fastball was mostly true through the zone.

Breaking Ball: 56-59 mph breaking ball showed slurvey shape with decent depth.

Pitchability: Average feel for his two pitch mix.

Role: Shows some potential on the mound. As a 2023 the main determining factor for his long term projection will be how grows and matures physically throughout high school. 

Body Type: 5-foot-2, 111 pounds. Smaller, athletic build. 

Swing Mechanics: Wide stance from him in the box. Generates energy well into his load prior to attacking pitches. Produces a level bat path that stayed on plane nicely.

Hit: Barrel action was present. Stroked several hard liners up the middle showing ability to stay on pitches. 
Power: 74 mph exit velocity. More of a middle-opposite power placement at the event.

Offensive Projection: TBD as he develops further. 
Run: 4.6 seconds home to first. 
Field: Displayed athletic actions fielding it while presenting soft hands as he worked through the baseball. Footwork was solid and showed quickness in his mobility while attacking the ball. 
Throw: 67 mph across the diamond with nice arm strength and put it on target. 
Defensive Projection: Middle infield in his future.

Body Type: 5-foot-2, 111-pound athletic frame.
Swing Mechanics: Right-handed hitter that starts in a balanced stance. Uses a fluid back load to hands during short stride for timing.
Hit: Swing really works, creating a large margin for error in timing by getting the barrel in the zone very early and staying through contact. All fields hitter with a ton of feel.
Power: 75 mph exit velocity. Line drive guy who backspun everything in BP. Very impressive round.
Offensive Projection: Top of the lineup guy with more to come.
Run: 4.97 H-1st.
Field: Very solid round of infield. Smooth feet with soft hands. Ball skills are above average for class. Also worked out behind the dish where he registered pop times of 2.16-2.25.
Throw: 68 mph arm strength across the diamond. Accurate arm from both positions.
Defensive Projection: 2B/C.

1/21/19
Body Type: 5-foot-2, 111-pound prospect.

Swing Mechanics: Balanced stance. Showed a back load to hands with a leg kick timing trigger.

Hit:  Balanced swing. Efficient stroke in general with feel for the barrel. Produced line drives to both sides of the field. Solid round of BP.

Power: 63 mph exit velocity. Much more to come. Young prospect at the beginning stages of physical maturation.

Offensive Projection: Top of the Lineup.

Run: 8.06 60-yard dash.

Field: Recorded pop times of 2.12-2.24. Also worked out in the infield where he showed quiet feet and soft hands. Ball skills are above average.

Throw: 67 mph from the crouch and 71 mph across the diamond. High-¾ slot with looseness to his arm, projecting for much more strength.

Defensive Projection: C/2B.

 
1/12/19 Pitching
Body Type: 5-foot-2, 111-pound prospect with much more physical maturation left.
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Throws from a ¾ arm slot and shows some natural athleticism with how he moves during his delivery.
Fastball: Fastball ranged 67-72 mph and was pretty true through the zone.
Curveball: 56-59 mph breaking ball that showed average shape and spin. Pitch will obviously improve as he matures and adds velocity.
Changeup: 56-57 mph changeup was pretty true through the zone.
Pitchability: Showed an above average feel for his 3 pitch mix for his age.
Role: Future role will be determined by how he physically matures and develops his body.

1/12/19
Body Type: 5-foot-2, 111-pound prospect with much more physical maturation left.
Hit: Right-handed hitter that starts in an athletic setup. Fluid, athletic stroke on a downhill path. Can get to front side at times. Sprayed it to all fields with slight pull side tendencies.
Power: 68 mph exit velocity. Contact type bat at this stage.
Offensive Projection: Table setter type with feel for the barrel. Much more physical maturing to come.

Run: 8.11 60-yard dash.

Field:  Uses quick feet in the infield, Showing above average ball skills through fielding. Soft hands.

Throw: 69 mph across the diamond. Much more to come.

Defensive Projection: 2B.
