Pierce Minter: LHP/OF, (2025) Westeville Central, OH. 5-foot-10, 170-pound. (57.6 mph bat speed average). (18.9 mph hand speed average). Started in a balanced open stance with a controlled compact load, then used a long quick stride. Bat speed was efficient developing, had an upward swing plane and high finish. He produced some loud contact and found some barrels. Up the middle base hit approach. Athletic confident in the outfield, he showed the ability to make throws to the bases at 79 mph; had aggressive quick footwork, sure consistent hands, and a quick twitchy exchange. Movements laterally were athletic and he fields the ball to the side. Athletic above average on the mound, showing quick good arm speed he had a short compact arm action with an over-the-top arm angle. Slow-tempo drop-and-drive type pitcher and uses high effort. Displays downhill in line shoulders and an athletic balance point. Lands square with an athletic falling off finish. Had both sides of the plate control and some tailing action with tight movement. (Max spin 1950; Avg 1896). He showed plus slurvey action and control around the zone on his 10/4 curveball. (Max spin 2230; Avg 2200). He showed control around the zone and some sinking action on his heavy changeup.
