Body Type: 6-foot-2, 200-pound well put together prospect that has a chance to be a beast physically after spending time in a college weight room.
Swing Mechanics: Balanced stance with a leg kick timing mechanism and a bat tip to get barrel momentum.
Hit: Natural tools are obvious. Strong prospect with a very fast bat. Swing is whippy and travels through contact with authority. Explosive at times. High upside bat.
Power: 96 mph exit velocity.
Offensive Projection: Run Producer Ceiling.
Run: 6.73 60-yard dash.
Field: Good athlete that gets too and through the ball quickly. Ball skills have a lean to LF but has the athleticism for CF. Arm continues to progress.
Throw: 83 mph arm strength to home plate.
Defensive Projection: LF/CF.
2/11/18
Very toolsy prospect with a high ceiling. Frame already possess strength but has much more room to add. A chance to be a beast physically once he gets into a college weight program. At the plate he creates a ton of energy into contact utilizing efficient/well timed movements in loading sequence. Path is level with obvious strength and speed to hands. Can get around the ball at times but ball exploded off bat when he worked gap to gap. In the outfield he shows obvious athleticism with above average ball skills. Future destination will likely be determined on how arm strength develops.
60-yard dash: 6.79
Outfield Velocity: 77
Exit Velocity: 96
6/07/17
Very athletic, projectable frame with room out. As toolsy as they come with his best days ahead of him. A well above average runner with upside at the plate. Starts in an athletic setup and initiates loading sequence with a fluid leg kick. Barrel flows to launch through a bat tip load. Path is level with noticeable whip. Barrel gets through the baseball with authority. Strength and the bat speed are advanced/stand out. Present gap pop with occasional power. Should be able to hit with consistent power as he fills out and matures his approach. Speed translates to game in the outfield. Reacts well off the bat and takes efficient routes. Right now he profiles as center/left fielder. Has some room to grow but with his upside at the plate and athleticism, his ceiling is as high as most in his class. 60-Yard Dash: 6.76 Outfield Velocity: 72 Exit Velocity: 100
2/19/17
6-foot-1, 180-pound prospect with athletic build. In the outfield, he approaches the ball in controlled, aggressive manner. Fields the ball to the outside of his glove foot and plays through the baseball. Long arm action. Tendency to throw uphill. Has the speed to player centerfield at the next level, but needs to continue improving his arm strength. At the plate he creates excellent energy throughout his loading sequence and is able to transfer it into contact. Natural tools are loud and the ball jumps off his bat. Gap to gap pop at this stage with flashes of power potential.
60 Yard Dash: 6.79 Position Velocity: 74 Exit Velocity: 92
7/26/16
6-foot-1, 180-pound very athletic prospect. Ran a very impressive 6.89 60-yard dash. At the plate he has a simple hands back load during his short stride forward. Strength and batspeed is there as he showed with an exit velocity of 90 mph. Ball came off his bat well in batting practice, showing the ability to create back spin on his line drives. Offers a three pitch mix on the mound while working through a high-¾ slot. Moves fluidly in the outfield with efficient routes to the ball. Plays through the ball well before showing 79 mph arm strength to second base. Fastball was 74-76 mph and should increase with maturity especially with his athleticism. His best offspeed pitch in his 11/5 shaped breaking ball that showed good depth and sharp action. Also mixed in a changeup.
