Ryan Piech: RHP/OF, (2023) Walsh Jesuit, OH. Xavier Commit, 6-foot-2, 185-pound. Advanced on the mound, showed quick arm speed with an over-the-top arm angle and a long arm action. Drop-and-drive type pitcher and shows easy effort. Showed an athletic balance point. Curveball (68-70 mph), changeup (75-78 mph).Threw his fastball 87-90 mph.
Scouting Notes: No. 11 overall prospect in the 2023 class lived up to his billing. 6-foot-2 multi sport athlete with an athletic delivery that generates easy juice. Fastball was 85-86 mph and he should continue to trend upward. Also snaps of a sharper breaking ball and changeup is a serviceable third offering.
Fastball: 84-86mph.

Hit: A slightly opened setup in the box with a smooth gather prior to launch. Takes an upward path to the ball consistently keeping the ball in the air.

Field: Shows the ability to work around the baseball with good footwork, likes to attack the baseball and not let it play him.

Delivery Notes: Up-tempo delivery with a quick clean and loose arm. The arm has some length and length and looseness out front. Will pick up more velocity as he matures down the road. Very promising young arm.
Fastball: Topped at 83 mph, more to come, ball jumps out of hand.
Curveball: Between 65-67 mph, quality offering, sharp, advanced for class.
Changeup: 69-72 mph, completes arsenal, when its on he’s a true three-pitch guy.
