Tyler Barni: RHP/1B, (2022) Walsh Jesuit, OH. 6-foot-6, 235-pound physical frame. Projectable on the mound, showed quick arm speed, also used a long arm action with a high ¾ arm angle. Drop-and-drive type pitcher who shows easy effort. Has a tall balance point. Has an athletic finish. Curveball (67-70 mph), changeup (75-76 mph).Sat with his fastball at 87-90 mph.

Scouting Notes: A guy to keep an eye on who continues to clean up his delivery. His almost 9 feet of extension (According to @trackmanbb ) combined with is mid 80s fastball had the pitch getting on hitters all day/velocity plays up. Breaking ball will need to tighten up moving forward but he showed solid feel for it.
Fastball: 82-84mph.
Fastball Spin Rate: 1613-1792
Breaking Ball: 64-65mph.
Breaking Ball Spin Rate: 1642-1660

2/16/20 Pitching
Delivery Notes: A well-rounded performer and tremendous length that plays well out front and down the hill. Mechanics are easy and simple to repeat. Big time upside here.
Fastball: Topped at 84, seemingly much more in the tank, velo plays up due to downhill angle and how well he gets down the mound.
Curveball: Between 64-66, playable offering, 11/5 shape, signs of sharpness.
Changeup: 70-74, maintains arm speed, some tumble to it.

2/9/20 Pitching
Delivery Notes: Barni throws from a ¾ arm slot and shows a big, projectable frame with long levers.
Fastball: The fastball was 81-84 mph and mostly true through the zone.
Curveball: His breaking ball was 63-66 mph with curveball shape.
Changeup: The changeup was 71-72 mph.
Pitchability: Average feel for three pitch mix. Secondary pitches need to be thrown with more arm speed.

Body Type: 6-foot-5, 190-pound uber projectable frame.
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Long lever type who really gets down the mound. Fluid delivery without much effort. Impressive control over body for how young he is with that length. Arm works well.
Fastball: 80-82 mph. Easy velocity with more to come. Average to above average spin rate guy who is very efficient spin wise.
Curveball: Spins a slurvish breaking ball with has potential to be an above average offering down the road.
Pitchability: Strike thrower.
Additional Comments: Big time upside arm who has a chance to really turn some heads as he twitches up and velo jumps.

Body Type: 6-foot-5 184-pound prospect with a big, projectable frame. Long levers.
Mechanical/Delivery Notes: Throws from a low ¾ arm slot with a slow tempo to his delivery. Definite ‘funk’ and deception to the delivery. Could clean up the arm action a bit.
Fastball: Fastball was 73-75 mph and mostly true through the zone with some fade and arm side run at times.
Breaking Ball: 60-62 mph breaking ball showed tight spin and a slurvey shape. Quality offering.
Changeup: 65-67 mph changeup was mostly true through the zone.
Pitchability: Solid feel for his three pitch.
Role: Big, projectable frame. Shows room to clean up his movement patterns. A lot of things will probably improve on their own when he starts adding more strength and is more in control of his long limbs. Breaking ball showed to be a quality offering. For a 2023 he definitely profiles as a starter type. How he develops physically will dictate his potential at the next level.
