Broderick Finlay: SS/RHP, (2022) Norman North, OK. 6-foot-1, 168-pound solid frame. At the plate, Finlay clocked an exit velocity of 87 mph. Starts in an athletic stance with a arm bar load, then uses a long stride to start his swing. Bat speed was explosive, displayed upward swing plane and high finish. Found multiple barrels with some loud contact. Pull side approach. Above average in the infield, his position velocity was registered at 78 mph; had a clean exchange, soft hands and rhythmic footwork. Used a short arm action and a high ¾ slot while showing consistent accuracy to the base. During the event, ran the 60-yard dash in 7.35. Projectable on the mound, showing good arm speed he used a short arm action and a high ¾ arm angle. Feel type pitcher who uses some effort. Showed athletic balance point and even shoulders. Lands closed with an athletic finish. Sat with his fastball at 78-80 mph; shows command and running action. His curveball (66-69) has plus action and in the zone.
A lean and projectable 6-foot-1, 168-pound frame with plenty of room to add size and strength. On the mound, the right-hander works from an average tempo delivery with a moderate leg kick before driving down the mound and finishing towards the dish. Arm action has moderate length in the back with some fluidity before coming through a high-¾ slot with some arm speed out front. Fastball sits 76-78 mph with some arm-side run, mostly strikes. Curveball shows 11/5 shape at 65-66 mph with excellent and consistent depth, mostly strikes. In the game, Finlay gave up no hard contact, punching out two of the four hitters he faced.
