A developing 5-foot-8, 135-pound frame with lots of room to add size and strength. On the mound, the right-hander works from a deliberate and controlled delivery with some rhythm and a moderate leg kick before gliding down the mound finishing towards the dish and balanced. Arm action is very short and fluid in the back before coming through a high-¾ slot. Fastball keeps its plane at 71-74 mph, mostly strikes. Curveball shows big and rolling action with 11/5 shape at 64-65 mph.
Displayed a stocky 5-foot-8, 135-pound frame with present strength. The right-handed hitter begins with a wide, even stance utilizing a knee-knock stride to initiate his swing. Fluid hips coupled with hands that start at the shoulder create a slightly uphill barrel-path upon impact. Demonstrated an easy swing with a barrel that whipped through the zone generating a 76 mph bat-exit velocity. The backstop featured adequate receiving skills with a soft glove hand. Pop times ranged from 1.98-2.13 on accurate 73 mph arm-strength from the crouch. Solid straight-line footwork and quick transfers into a fluid, high ¾ arm-slot allowed for consistent, repeatable throws. Demonstrated a low center of gravity while blocking creating soft walls on both sides of the plate. Ran a 7.70 60-yard dash. The shortstop displayed solid footwork during defensive evaluations with range to both sides. Advanced feel for a soft glove hand and advantageous attack angles led to an impressive showing. Recorded accurate 73 mph throws across the infield utilizing a quick transfer.
10-21-18: Natural State Games:
5-Foot-8, 135-Pound frame, quick twitch with plenty of room for growth in frame, ran a 7.78 60, Offensively: slightly open stance leg lift to land even land line, slightly cocked at foots trike, loses contact with ground to contact, short stroke, flat stroke, athletic frame, efficient movements line drive approach, 75 mph exit velo. Defensively; clean transfer short stroke, simple set up, quick exchange, minimal carry, quick feet, slight knee turn to get out of shoot, accurate arm, 65 mph arm strength.
Pitching: over the top slot, average hand speed with short arm action, easy effort with good balance point, head tilt to clear arm at release, open landline with short front side, fastball 70-74, fastball is straight and threw it for strikes, curveball 61-62 mph, has 12-6 shape with gradual break, fastball arm speed, short spin and bounced in dirt, change up 65-67 mph, has fastball arm speed with straight action, pulls to glove side.
