McDonald, 5-foot-11, 170-pounds, had possibly the most electric bullpen on the weekend. Aggressive/violent down the mound, really kicks the back leg through competing down in the zone with a 88-90 T91 mph FB that jumped out of his hand. The Sl has cutter-like actions and there's late fade to the CH. Up-tempo delivery with strong mound presence, the Bossier Parish CC commit will look to be an immediate impact arm at the next level.
McDonald, 5-foot-11, 155-pounds, was another RHP to impress our staff today at OBJ Scout Day. On the mound, McDonald has a quick, up-tempo delivery and was pounding the zone all bullpen. Mcdonalds FB consistently sat 87-88 mph and there's definitely more in the tank. He kept his SL down in the zone and it showed some late bite to it at 73-75 mph and his CH was 79-80 mph. The uncommitted ‘23 is definitely a pitch colleges should have on their radar going forward.
