5-foot-11, 175-pound right-hander, Tavares is a member of the Ontario Blue Jays. It’s a clean delivery that works in sync. He’s a strike-thrower and can locate all three offerings. He works 84-86, and his curveball has 12/6 shape and depth. Tavares is a well-rounded pitcher who has continued to make gains on the mound.  

Tavares is a 2021 with good foundation on the mound with a repeatable delivery and arm that works from a clean 3/4 slot. He gets out front and is able to work down in the zone and to both sides with his fastball that works in the 78-80 range while he spins a curveball with 10/4 shape and when he maintains his arm speed, is able to locate down with proper rotation. He shows feel for his changeup in the 72-74 range and with added strength and maturity, Tavares and his clean actions is a guy to watch as he should continue to make gaind and strides over the summer as a 2021 grad.
