Leroux is someone who you can just sit back and watch take ground ball after ground ball as the 2021 uncommitted grad has some of the best hands in the country, and work well and in sync with his lower half while showing a maturity for the shortstop position at a young age and internal clock in his head. At the plate, switch-hitter who is going to spend a lot, if not most of his time currently from the right side. Don’t let the small, undersized frame fool you with his offensive game. Fearless in the box, aggressive and will surprise you with his gap-power. A player who is worth the price of admission, there is style and moxy to his game, a big end to the fall put Leroux in this position.

Leroux, a 2021 switch hitting shortstop impressed in the fall as he continues to improve his game.  In the infield, he positions himself correctly with clean glove actions and a quick, short release. He is one of the better fielding infielders in the country, and he has proven that on big stages this fall. At the plate, there’s bat speed and quickness throughout, with bat-to-ball ability and consistent sweet spot contact from both sides. He displayed some sneaky power from the right-side, and that could eventually become a component of his game. Lots to like with Leroux, and we look forward to seeing more of him.

2021 Brando Leroux opened eyes over the weekend with his athleticism and quickness on the field. The 5-foot-6, 135-pound infielder started his day off running a 7.23 60 yard dash, right away demonstrating those abilities. Soon after, he took his reps in the infield and impressed some more, ranging freely side-to-side with soft hands and sound footwork allowing him to get off accurate throws up to 79 mph. He swung it from both sides of the plate in BP, from the left side he was short to the ball and with bat speed peppered balls around the field. He demonstrated barrel accuracy and the ability to cover the whole plate. From the right side the same can be said, although instead of spraying the ball, he put more focus into getting out front and pulling the ball in the air. He demonstrates body control and hand-eye coordination all over the field allowing him to overachieve considering his current size.
