6/13/21

Physical: The recent Seton Hall commit stands tall at 6-foot-5, 179lb frame with lots of length in the limbs and leverage on the bump.

Pitching: RHP - Started off the left side of the rubber with a rhythmic delivery as the hands went over the head in tune with a moderately paced side rocker. Used a high leg lift with slight hip coil, coming to a compact/balanced position before driving out down the mound with great separation. The arm showed fluidly/loosely with whip at release (¾ slot, held 85-86, T87 mph, strikes) flashing arm-side run back into RHH on occasion. Mixed a sharp 76-78 mph SL with horizontal tilt across the plate for K’s while getting out in front/on top at release. An 80-82 mph CH landed at 100% zone rate and displayed advanced feel in any count. Tough at-bats against and had plenty of swings/miss in his outing at the PA State Games.

2/27/21

Physical: 6’5 180 lb RHP. Long and lanky frame has good levers to create downhill movement with his body. Uses a slow tempo to keep control of his body.

Pitching: Moves slow and methodically throughout the windup. Takes his hands overhead pre-leg lift. Reaches down and out with his front foot just as his weight shifts forward and the arm comes whipping through. Still has room and time to improve control and accuracy with his FB, SL, & CH.

10/12/20

Physical: Long and lean 6-foot-5, 170-pound frame with advanced projectability in a solid starting pitcher’s build. Pitching: RHP - Worked from the left side of the rubber he starts with the left foot slightly in front of the right in the setup, short side rocker step into a medium-high leg lift with hip coil around the backside at the top of the stack, impressive downhill drive off of the right leg with ability to create above average hip-shoulder separation. The arm played through a fluid, whippy ¾ slot with good extension at release. FB ranged from 83-84 mph getting an upwards of 1852 spin per Trackman Baseball, mixed in a 73-75 mph SL with feel for spin at 2184 rpms creating swing and miss horizontal shape at times. Countered with a 76-78 mph CH with high spin at near FB arm speed. Commands two of three pitches at all times with ability to continue getting better as he adds strength.
