Physical: Lean / projectable 6-foot-4, 175-pound frame with athleticism throughout the build. 7.39 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH. Crouched, wide open stance with the hands showing tight rhythm at the shoulder. Utilized a toe-tap stride to initiate a flat barrel path into the hitting zone. Showcased advanced feel for the hands in the box matching plane early on the swing with an adjustable lower half leading the way. Hit into a stiff front side and showed ability to utilize a gap to gap approach at the plate. Long levers created hard contact at the front of the plate, recorded a peak bat-exit velocity of 88 mph according to Trackman Baseball / 50% fly ball rate showing loft.
Defensively: The primary third baseman featured a low center of gravity and long lateral movements allowing for adequate footwork on the approach. Fielded off of the left side of his body with a semi soft glove hand. Average catch and throw skills with an accurate, high ¾ slot with length in the arm circle.
Pitching: RHP - Worked from the middle of the rubber, medium pace in the delivery with a moderate leg lift at the top of the stack, good directional drive out of a spring loaded backside, got well over the frontside on the land while releasing through a high ¾ slot with quickness in the arm circle. FB ranged from 80-82 mph with an upwards of 2101 spin per Trackman Baseball. Mixed in a quality 68-70 mph CB with 11/5 shape and 2088 spin / the SL comes out of the same slot with more horizontal plane and sharper tilt (almost 2200 rpms). Dropped in a 74-75 mph CH with good deception and arm-side fade off the plate.
7/15/20
Physical: High-waisted, projectable 6-foot-4, 170-pound frame with long levers and athleticism throughout the movements.
Pitching: RHP - Deep side rocker step with a deliberate move towards a high leg kick, medium pace throughout the delivery, gets directional towards the plate with quality extension on the front side, arm worked through a loose and athletic high ¾ slot with quickness to it. The FB ranged from 81-83 mph with a max of 2131 spin per Trackman Baseball while jumping at hitters. Mixed in a tight 69-70 mph SL showing horizontal bite across the zone. Should continue adding velocity and see his stuff keep improving as he adds strength and fills out, will be an interesting follow on the mound.
