2016 PBR Future Games - Team Pennsylvania

4/11/18 A hard-nosed catching prospect committed to Penn State, Chesnet's two RBI double to left-center field was the determining play of the game. His receiving skills as a backstop are advanced, he's cerebral on the field, and has the type of makeup that coaches will love at the next level. The stance is slightly open, the hands are loose, and the swing is compact. In game gap-to-gap power with the ability to work counts, Chesnet is a polished, well-rounded player.

8/4/16 5-foot-10, 175-pound backstop with advanced receiving skills. Soft glove hand, quick feet and solid arm strength. Threw out two base runners in game play and registered pop times of 1.95-2.01 on workout day. Right-handed hitter has simple approach at the plate with gap-to-gap approach. High energy player with definite leadership qualities. Committed to Penn State one day after the completion of the event.

5/24/16 Sturdy 5-foot-10, 175-pound backstop with advanced defensive abilities. Quiet receiver with excellent leadership qualities. Quick feet and short arm action. Flashed 2.08 in game pop time on caught stealing. Barreled baseball in first three at bats including double over center fielder's head. Short, simple right-handed stroke with middle of the order potential at next level. 

5/11/16 Solid across-the-board skill set for the 5-foot-10, 175-pound right-handed hitter. Balanced, quiet approach at the plate. Twice stayed inside the ball and let it travel on the outer part of the plate, barreling base hits to the opposite field. Relaxed receiver who showed quick feet on snap throws to both first and third base.

1/16/16 5-foot-10, 175-pounder displayed advanced defensive skills. Chesnet registered pop times of 1.96-2.03 on throws of 72 mph from the crouch. The sophomore flashed a soft glove hand and excellent feet during his defensive evaluation. The athletic right-handed hitter ran a solid 7.12 60-yard dash and turned in an 86 mph bat exit velocity. Chesnet starts from a slightly open stance and initiates his swing with a short, heel raise stride. A very compact swing and strong lower half results in significant barrel whip with signs of gap power.
