Offensively: RHH - Begins in a balanced, slightly open stance with low hands / rhythm present pre-swing. Utilized a controlled leg hang with impressive feel allowing timing to be crisp; found repeated barrels to the LCF gap and has swung it among the best in the state over the past year with a known extra-base hit profile in-game. Results carried over to gameplay where he handled good pitching with no issues flashing a multi-hit effort. Strong wrists and early connection in the box, matched pitch plane yielding a 95 mph peak bat-exit velocity per Trackman Baseball. Generated easy bat-speed (79 mph max) and found better success against higher velocity at the plate.
Defensively: The backstop showcased a soft glove hand that worked effortlessly back up through the zone from a low position (RKD). Mixed traditional on pop times, ranging from 1.95-1.99 with pre-set footwork/rhythm at the catch. Quick transfers and powerful legs out of the crouch with repeatability in the actions. Not a lot going on and generated a strong armed finish that played through a short, high ¾ slot (77 mph, carry).
