6/30/15 6-foot-1, 175-pound right-handed hitter. Starts from a square stance and initiates swing with a heel raise stride. Displayed a feel for the barrel with a direct swing path and a bat exit velocity of 78 mph. Showcased a 7.32 60-yard dash and pop times of 1.97-2.12 on throws of 75 mph from the crouch. Quick feet and transition with an accurate arm make Stauffer a solid follow in this class of catchers.
6/24/15 6-foot-1, 175-pound right-handed hitter. Started from slightly open stance and double-tapped his front foot to square in game (no double-tap in BP). Body and head come forward with stride, but hands are loose and work through contact well. Ran a 7.27 60-yard dash and 4.63 in-game home-to-1B time. Showcased 76-mph exit velocity and 75-mph arm strength during workout. Posted workout pop times of 2.08-2.18 with an in-game pop of 2.13. Accurate arm, good direction with feet toward target, showed some feel for blocking, could shave some time by quickening exchange out of glove.
