Comments

9/25/20

Physical: Projectable / athletic 5-foot-11, 155-pound frame with natural feel for the game and strength through the usage of long levers. 7.49 runner in the 60-yard dash.

Offensively: RHH. Tall, slightly open stance with the hands showing slight rhythm bouncing off of the shoulder in the setup. Utilized a leg-hang stride with weight shift into a stiff front side at impact while initiating the hands through a flat barrel path into the hitting zone. Lets long levers do damage at the front of the plate getting short to the ball and long through extension. Advanced feel for the barrel while peppering both gaps on pitches in any quadrant. Athletic and adjustable lower half allowing the hands to match plane early and often, recorded a peak bat-exit velocity of 90 mph according to Trackman Baseball / 12.5% hard hit rate. Top of the order ability who could eventually slide into the middle of a collegiate order if he continues adding strength.

Defensively: The primary outfielder featured long, rangy movements during defensive evaluations with CF-like qualities. Quick first step, makes decisions early on in routes, and can drop step and go get the baseball. Plays quicker than his 7.49 60-yard dash speed, gets downhill through the baseball at the fielding window approaching off of the left side of his body with a soft glove hand. Advanced arm strength out of a whippy, high ¾ slot (full arm circle). Stood out as an above average defender who should handle at least two of the three OF positions at the next level. OF - 90 mph

8/18/20

Physical: 5-foot-11, 150 pounds; long, athletic frame. 7.34 runner in the 60.
Offensively: RHH. Even and wide stance with pre-pitch bat waggle; hands start back & load with upper body with an even stride. Average effort in lower half with direct swing path with some high bat speed. Sprayed the ball to all fields; peak Trackman exit velocity of 89 MPH.
Defensively: Upright setup; active approach, strong arm from the OF, fields outside glove foot with smooth movements. Seamless transfer; long arm swing, high 3/4 arm slot. OF - 84 MPH.

7/15/20

Physical: Lean and athletic 5-foot-11, 150-pound frame with projectability in the build, was toolsy in all facets. 7.00 runner in the 60-yard dash with long strides.

Offensively: RHH. Balanced, slightly bent stance with an open setup as the hands start just outside the shoulder as the barrel points upwards. Utilized a controlled leg hang stride to initiate an efficient slightly uphill barrel path into the hitting zone. Showcased above average feel for his hands in the swing with a mature approach yielding hard contact throughout the middle of the field with extra base hit prowess. Was able to keep long levers inside the baseball with advanced bat speed towards the front of the plate, a combination that yielded natural backspin to all fields. Recorded a top bat-exit velocity of 90 mph according to Trackman Baseball and generated a maximum hand speed of 23.70 mph per Blast Motion. The RHH turned the bat around early in the zone creating a max batted ball distance of 318 feet to LF.

Defensively: The primary outfielder demonstrated impact defender qualities with long, rangy actions and a smooth approach consistently getting downhill with momentum towards the target. Could steal away hits in the gap and throw runners out at the plate, the arm was live through a high ¾ slot with a full arm circle, showing plenty of carry towards the target. OF - 90 mph

6/15/20

Physical: Lean, athletic 5-foot-11, 150-pound frame with projectability and room to fill out as he matures. 7.33 runner in the 60-yard dash.

Offensively: RHH. Tall, even setup with loose hands at the shoulder. Utilized a leg hang stride coupled with slight stretch on the load to initiate a slightly uphill barrel path into the hitting zone. Long levers work well when contacting the baseball at the front of the plate with a feel for the barrel during batting practice. The lower half works in conjunction with the hands allowing for a smooth, repeatable path while hitting into a stiff front side. Primarily used the left centerfield gap, but showed the ability to stay in the middle of the field regardless of where he was pitched. Registered an 82 mph bat-exit velocity per Trackman Baseball.

Defensively: The primary outfielder had one of the top defensive rounds among all prospects in attendance. Glides in the outfield with high level feel for all routes. Can drop step and go get it for his pitchers or play downhill through a single to the outfield creating momentum towards the target. Soft glove hand played out in front with an accurate, high ¾ arm-slot that was long in the back and long in the front. Plenty of arm-speed, could handle two, possibly three outfield positions at the next level. OF - 90 mph

2/23/20

Demonstrated advanced feel for a projectable 5-foot-11, 150-pound frame with wiry strength and room to fill out as he matures. The right-handed hitter begins with a tall, even stance utilizing a controlled toe-tap stride to initiate his swing. Generated a short, repeatable stroke through a slightly uphill path allowing for his long levers to create barrel whip into the hitting zone. Showed sink into a wide lower half with some twitch while hitting into a stiff front side. Displayed a gap to gap approach with quality extension through the baseball and natural pull-side lift when contacting the ball out in front. Recorded an 82 mph bat-exit velocity during batting practice and ran a 7.28 60-yard dash. The primary outfielder showcased long and fluid actions with present athleticism in his movements, taking advantageous routes to the ball with regularity. Advanced leg drive through the baseball towards the target created momentum and accurate 83 mph arm-strength with carry out of a quick, high ¾ arm-slot.

9/15/18

Defensively, outfield ctions are fluid and athletic. Flashes confident glove hand in attacking and playing through the ball on the ground. Gets behind and plays through the ball in the air. Arm slot is somewhat low for outfielder.

Offensively, 5-foot-9 130 pound, right-handed hitter initiates swing from open set up with stride to neutral. Weight shift and hip turn are aggressive. There is balance and rhythm present. Bat is on plane early and late. There is some length. A bat exit velocity of 73 mph was registered. Mechanics and athleticism suggest a coming jump in bat speed correlative to strength gains.
