6/15/20

Physical: Compact, athletic 5-foot-9, 175-pound frame with advanced feel for his body in all facets of the game. 7.15 runner in the 60-yard dash.

Offensively: RHH. Balanced, even stance with the hands slightly away from the body at the shoulder to start. Utilized small hand movement on the load to the shoulder coupled with a short toe-tap stride to initiate his swing. Displayed easy juice with not a lot going on in the swing; a recipe for consistent swings and hard barrels. Generated barrel whip through a slightly uphill path with occasional lift and ability to use the whole field. Hit into a stiff front side allowing for a 91 mph bat-exit velocity per Trackman Baseball.

Defensively: The primary shortstop showcased adequate, active feet that arrived on time to the baseball giving the hands the chance to work softly out in front. Quick transfers generated a short time from glove to release and allowed for the play at an above average pace in the middle. Demonstrated the ability to go to the glove hand side and throw from multiple arm angles. Arm primarily worked through a high ¾ slot with a short takeaway in the back. SS - 76 mph

Ran a 6.93 60-yard dash and registered a bat exit velocity of 90 mph. Sound defender may be best suited for third base with his frame and 78 mph arm strength. Fast twitch actions would indicate the ability to handle the turn at second base as well.
