Physical: 6’4 250 lb RHP/ 1B ran an impressive 6.80 laser timed 60-yard dash. One of the most physically imposing athletes in the state, has tremendous power and explosiveness.
Offensively: Starts in a very simple position with a small loading process before exploding through the ball. Has some of the most impressive power as a hitter, as well as consistency when it comes to putting the barrel on the ball.
Pitching: From the windup, he keeps it simple with a traditional moving windup, but due to his size and strength has the ability to produce exceptional power with his body. Understands how his body works and uses that to his advantage. Mixed in a CV and CH to accompany his impressive FB.
2/15/20
Standout performer from Day One of the event. The 6-foot-3, 230-pound primary pitcher is athletic in his frame and while still raw has a tremendous amount of potential. The righty sat 85-88 with a max effort delivery that includes a hip coil. Additional work to become more efficient with his lower half and to allow his arm to work fluidly could easily see five mph of velocity added in short order. Curveball at 75-80 showed tight, short break and changeup was thrown at near fastball arm speed with arm-side fade at 77-78. Command was an issue on this date. The right-handed hitter starts from a slightly open stance and uses a lift-and-replace stride to begin. Showcased balance throughout and a combination of bat strength and speed that led to balls exploding off his barrel. Registered the top bat exit velocity of the event at 102 mph and ran an impressive 6.88 60-yard dash. Defensive skills at first base are a work in progress with a move to the outfield a possiblity to utilize solid foot speed and athleticism.
