Physical: Strong/durable 6-foot-1, 230lb frame with physicality held in the actions and connected movements on the bump.
Pitching: RHP - Operated from the stretch-only off the middle of the rubber; slightly closed set position and adequate pace in the leg lift, reaching a medium height above the belt line before getting down the slope with some drop/drive athleticism into the glove from H ¾. The FB pounded at the knees (78% zone rate via Trackman) at 84-87 mph featuring big time carry traits on its travel to the plate (2336rpms, 20+ inches AVG IVB). Tunneled a power 77-79 mph SL with strikeout tilt, biting hard off the plate with late action (T8 inches of HM) that could be dropped in for get me over strikes as well. Added a quality 79-81 mph CH with sparkling command to arm-side, able to throw with good sell out in front.
Physical: Powerful, physical 5-foot-10, 206-pound frame with advanced strength and athleticism in the movements.
Pitching: RHP. Working primarily from the stretch, features repeatable mechanics with a high leg lift to the stack and powerful leg drive getting directional towards home plate with regularity. Lives in the zone with a high spin 82-85 mph FB that plays up in velocity at the letters mixed with a wipeout 71-74 mph CB featuring 11/5 spin with late horizontal action. Displayed feel for a 77-78 mph CH thrown with deception as well.
5-foot-10, 206-pound right-hander had a breakout performance sitting 85-86 with plenty of riding life to his fastball from a high 3/4 arm slot while working solely out of the stretch. Arm action is loose and whippy with advanced hip and shoulder separation. Curveball is also an above average pitch at 72-73 with two-plane 11/5 break. Changeup is thrown with good arm-speed but lacks any real movement at this point in its development. Definite high follow in his class.
Primary pitcher sat 69-72 from a high 3/4 arm slot with a balanced, repeatable delivery. Curveball shows 11/5 rotation at 58-59 with good depth when it isn't thrown across his body. Changeup is a very effective pitch thrown with good sell at 64-65.
