6.4.16 - Penn State commitKris Kremerstole the show over the weekend showing off his athleticism at the shortstop position to go along with his strong arm. He showed nice rhythm at the plate and barreled up the ball well over the weekend with his short swing and quick bat speed. Played hard and got out of the box and quickly made it to top speed, turning a few singles in doubles. Overall impressive day for the 2017 grad
11/7/15 Member of Team PA at the 2015 PBR Future Games, continued to show the skillset that has him sitting as the top uncommitted junior infielder in the state. Solid across the board defensive skill set, including 89-mph arm strength across the diamond with every throw chest-high, on-the-money to the first baseman on this day. He ran a 6.91 60-yard dash and, you might not guess it from the 5-foot-10, 150-pound right-handed hitter's frame, but he has bat speed that generated a 92-mph exit velocity. In his BP round, he exhibited good rhythm in the box, stayed inside the ball, hit through contact, and barreled the ball to all fields.
8/1/15 Kremer was nursing a slight leg injury but has shown 7.00 foot speed this summer. The 5-foot-9, 150-pound IF/OF impressed on evaluation day at the PBR Future Games with a 90 mph arm across the diamond and an 88 mph bat exit velocity. Kremer went hitless in seven trips to the plate with a walk during the PBR Future Games, but had numerous lengthy at bats and showed the ability to barrel the baseball consistently.
7/21/15-7/22/15 5-foot-9, 140-pound right-handed hitter who will represent Team PA at this weekend’s PBR Future Games. Flashed good batspeed, while barreling the baseball both in BP and game action (including two doubles to left-center, a line drive single to center, and a scorched grounder that the third baseman wanted no part of). Ran a 7.00 60-yard dash and in-game best 4.66 home-to-1B time on a turn. Showcased 90-mph exit velocity and 86-mph arm strength during workout. Good feet defensively; sets up to field ball on glove side of body moving toward first base.
Hasn’t pitched since little league, but jumped on the mound for an inning to show a fastball at 84-86 out of a three-quarter slot with good arm speed. Mixed in a change-up at 76-77, while his curveball at 70-71 tended to back up on him. However, given his utter lack of mound time, there could be something here as well if he chooses to work at it.
6/17/15 5-foot-9, 140-pound right-handed hitter. Started from slightly open stance and took a knee-to-knee stride to square. Attacked ball, kept head still, hands worked, flashed some bat speed. Posted in-game 4.25 and 4.30 home-to-1B times. Is wiry strong already and offensive game could take off with additional strength. Showcased 88-mph exit velocity and 86-mph arm strength during workout. Best defensive skillset among the cohort at this event. Athletic actions with loose, whippy, quick arm and trusts his glovehand.
