Showcased above average 84 mph arm strength across the diamond and the ability to handle duties at numerous positions defensively. Made a highlight real play at 3B during day two with a fully extended diving backhand play on the foul line and threw the batter out by several steps. Fundamentally sound player in all aspects of the game.

7/18/17 - 5-foot-10, 170-pound right-handed hitter went 4-for-10 with two walks during game action over the course of the event.  Rhoads has showcased an 84 mph bat exit velocity and ran a 7.47 60-yard dash at previous PBR events. 2/12/17 - 5-foot-10, 170-pounder continues to develop. Exhibited a solid across-the-board defensive skill set that includes a feel for approaching the baseball to field it and continue moving his feet toward his target, as well as 86 mph arm strength across the diamond. Right-handed hitter starts from a slightly open stance and takes a short stride. Rolls front shoulder and hides hands behind head a bit in his load, creating some stiffness and length in his path. Has a chance to develop gap power with a current exit velocity of 82 mph. Will need to improve foot speed (7.51 60-yard dash) and quickness to remain in the middle of the diamond long-term, but defensive abilities should translate to third base.

7/20/16 - 5-foot-10, 170-pound right-handed hitter has grown an inch and put on 30 pounds of muscle over the past year. Flashed improved arm strength (84 mph) and the ability to make all plays on the left side of the infield. Displayed the ability to barrel the baseball routinely from a square stance with a short lift-and-replace stride. Simple, repeatable swing path showed improved barrel whip (84 mph bat exit). Handled elevated velocity in game play over two days while registering a 4.67 home-to-1B time.

9/13/15 - 5-foot-9, 140-pound right handed hitter who was the youngest prospect in attendance. Hit from a slightly open stance with a short, punchy stroke during which he kept his head still and minimized excess body movement. Defensively, he showed a solid glove and used his feet well to enhance his 77-mph arm strength across the diamond.

7/1/15 - 5-foot-9, 140-pounder showed well in all facets of the game. The right-handed hitter barreled the baseball routinely from a square stance with a short lift and replace stride. A short swing path creates a bat exit velocity of 76 mph. Rhoads showcased a 7.65 60-yard dash and a 78 mph arm across the diamond. He also  displayed an accurate 81 mph arm from the outfield. The incoming freshman showed athletic actions, a quick release and the ability to play through the baseball.
7/1/15 - 5-foot-9, 140-pound primary position players sat 76-78 from a high 3/4 arm slot. Exhibited good balance throughout delivery and remains directional. Curveball showed 11/5 rotation at 62 mph and 69 mph changeup is thrown at near fastball arm speed.
6/24/15 - 5-foot-9, 140-pound right-handed hitter. Hit from a slightly open stance with minimal, heel-raise stride. Slightly uphill path in a fairly simple swing that lacks physicality. Ran a 7.47 60-yard dash and 4.78 in-game home-to-1B. Showcased 71-mph exit velocity and 75-mph arm strength during workout. Exhibited solid actions with short arm stroke; did nice job setting up to field ball with feet moving toward target.
