2/06/21

Physical: Beautiful blend of athleticism / power in the frame (5-11, 180 pounds) while continuously exuding confidence in the movements in all phases of the game. 6.81 runner in the 60-yard dash.

Offensively: RHH - Controlled, balance setup as the barrel started with slow, rhythmic waves above the shoulder. Utilized a lift and replace stride which was very comfortable in getting the foot down early allowing the hands to play with increased timing out towards the front of the plate at a leveraged position. The bat head worked through a calculated flat path which could alternate to a vertical one if the pitch was down or in. Insane hand speed (27.10 mph) translated into usable bat speed (80 mph) which then efficiently worked up the chain producing a peak of 103 mph bat-exit velocity per Trackman Baseball. A 95 mph average EV showed off the consistency present as well as a 71% on plane and 54% line drive rate. The sky is the limit for this prospect flashing rotational acceleration scores as high as 21.6 G’s.

Defensively: The primary third baseman featured high-level pace from the left side with increasing timing and rhythm at the fielding window. Soft glove hand played effortlessly out in front with smooth transfers yielding an accurate, but powerful 84 mph arm strength with live carry across the diamond. Made all the plays in any direction, above-average defensive capabilities.

6/15/20

Physical: Athletic, lean, 5-foot-11, 180-pound frame. 7.1 runner in the 60.

Offensively: Starts in a relaxed, upright stance with an even base and his hands above his shoulders. He uses a small stride to get his swing initiated. His swing is quick and direct to the baseball with a bit of an uphill plane. He displays plus bat speed thanks to quick hands and an engaged and powerful lower half. He also shows a feel for the barrel as he consistently made hard contact. As impressive as his 102 peak exit velo was during his BP round, his average exit velo of 97 is equally as impressive.

Defensively: Starts upright and gets low to the ground with the ball. He has controlled, clean footwork on approach of the ball and showcases smooth hands. There is some fluidity in his action and he shows a decent throwing arm from across the diamond at 83 mph.

2/23/20

Showcased an advanced, physical 5-foot-11, 185-pound frame with athleticism yielding impressive measurables across the board and an overall solid day. The right-handed hitter begins with a balanced, even stance utilizing a repeatable lift-and-replace stride to initiate his swing. Generated a slightly uphill barrel path into the hitting zone with early connection to the backside creating advanced barrel whip through contact point. Made loud contact in front of the plate during batting practice allowing for a 96 mph bat-exit velocity with natural pull-side lift. Ran a 6.80 60-yard dash showing off the athleticism and fluidity in his actions. The primary third baseman featured a low center of gravity with decent range to both sides and ability to make the play on the run from different arm angles. A soft glove hand worked well through the ball and smooth transfers created accurate 84 mph arm-strength with carry out of a high ¾ arm-slot across the diamond.

10/27/18

5-foot-10, 160-pound right-handed hitter starts from an open stance and strides to even in initiating his swing. Displayed a feel for the barrel with a bat exit velocity of 83 mph. Showcased athletic actions defensively with active feet and the ability to play through the baseball. Registered 82 mph arm strength across the diamond. Athletic frame has plenty of room to develop. Definite follow among infielders in this class.
