Physical: The recent East Stroudsburg commit stands a strong/projectable 6-foot-5, 215lb frame with power in the actions. 7.38 runner in the 60-yard dash.

Offensively: RHH - Balanced, slightly bent stance with the hands low, flashing rhythm at the shoulder; utilized a controlled leg lift landing at just outside shoulder-width position, launching through a violent, flat path from a stretched load. Generated plenty of bat-speed creating loud results; worked his way up to a T102 mph bat-exit velocity per Trackman Baseball, but found success in the results en route to a 57% line drive rate during his batting practice round. A 364 foot batted ball distance placed him among the leaders at the PA State Games and gives him lots of two-way considerations at the next level.

Defensively: The first baseman showed grace around the bag, approaching the ball with a medium posture and soft/trusted glove hand in the middle of the body. Quick hands/trigger from a ¾ slot and moved around extremely well for his size. Up to an 81 mph arm strength across the diamond with an EZ effort.

Pitching: RHP - Started off the middle/left side of the rubber operating from the stretch-only. High leg lift with control at the top of the stack holding pace down the slope, allowing for downhill/arm-side run on a heavy 83-85 mph FB with more in the tank (55% strike rate). Mixed a short, late 73-75 mph SL with good horizontal tilt and added a 76-78 mph CH at 1118rpms that tunneled with similar release height as the FB.

6/15/20

Physical: Large, physical 6-foot-4, 210-pound frame with plenty of projectability in the build and sneaky athleticism in the movements. Ran a 7.41 60-yard dash at the PA State Games.

Offensively: RHH. Wide, slightly open stance with the hands resting on the shoulder by the ear upon setup. Utilized a leg hang stride coupled with a barrel tilt in the load to initiate his swing. The barrel entered the hitting zone through a slightly uphill path with violent intentions allowing for hard hip rotation through impact and long levers to whip towards extension with authority. Barreled the ball up loudly at the front of the plate showing off a multitude of pull-side home runs during batting practice. Hit into a stiff front side with next-level ready juice to all fields evidenced by a 102 mph bat-exit velocity per Trackman Baseball. Should project as a middle of the order power bat at the next level.

Defensively: The first baseman showcased advanced footwork and feel around the bag playing low to the ground and light on his feet. Was able to beat the ball to the spot with regularity and had an understanding of when to play through the ball at the fielding window. A soft glove hand and smooth, repeatable transfers generated a solid pace in the infield and even showed off the ability to get back to the back flawlessly himself on double play turns. 1B - 84 mph

Pitching: Slow tempo in the delivery with slight hip coil at the top of a moderately high stack generating some crossfire upon land. The arm worked with whip and looseness out of a high ¾ slot getting natural arm-side run on a 81-84 T85 mph FB with 2181 spin. Mixed in a 71-73 mph CB with 11/5 shape and late depth as well as a differently shaped 69-70 mph slider with more horizontal. Countered with a 72-74 mph CH with occasional arm-side fade and adequate sell on the release.

2/23/20

6-foot-4, 210-pound primary pitcher sat 84-85 from an over-the-top arm slot with more in the tank as he continues to work on syncing his lower and upper half. Curveball at 67-69 showed 11/5 rotation and late, sharp break. Straight changeup at 70-72 was thrown at near fastball arm speed. The right-handed hitter starts from a square stance and utilizes a lift-and-replace stride to begin. Displayed the ability to create backspin with a gap-to-gap approach. Showcased solid glove work and active feet around the bag at first base with 79 mph arm strength across the diamond.

6/18/19

6-foot-4, 200-pound primary pitcher sat 78-81 from a high 3/4 arm slot with some arm-side run to his fastball. Some tilt to his upper half can be corrected and should allow for the projectable underclassman to continue to see velocity gains in the coming years. Also showcased a slider at 67-69 and a changeup with cut action at 69-71. The right-handed hitter starts from a slightly open stance and initiates his swing with a lift-and-replace stride. Displayed a feel for creating backspin and the potential for some power. Registered a bat exit velocity of 91 mph and ran a 7.50 60-yard dash. Showed a soft glove hand and active feet around the bag at first base with 74 mph arm strength across the diamond.

1/07/18

6-foot-2, 175-pound primary pitcher sat 72-74 from a high 3/4 arm slot with armside run to his fastball. Physically advanced frame and sound, repeatable mechanics project for significant velocity gains in the future. Curveball has tight 11/5 rotation at 62-64 and changeup is thrown at near fastball arm speed with some cut action at 63-67. Right-handed hitter starts from a square stance and initiates his swing with a toe-tap stride. Showcased some lower half glide but stays inside the baseball consistently. Registered an 80 mph bat exit velocity and ran a 7.57 60-yard dash. Showcased sound actions at both corner infield positions with accurate 69 mph arm strength across the diamond.
