1/18/16 As of mid-October, Kranick reported having added nearly twenty pounds to his frame, and the gains were evident in his physique and a delivery with reduced effort from what he has utilized in the past. During his bullpen session, Kranick showed a short, quick arm action and life on a low-90s fastball that touched 93 a handful of times. The Virginia signee also exhibited a really good feel for a low-80s change-up with sink.

8/24/14 The top-ranked junior in Pennsylvania, came out of the bullpen for Marucci Elite and did not disappoint. Standing at 6-foot-3, 180-pounds, the Virginia recruit pitched with an abbreviated and quick arm action from a high three-quarter slot, filling up the zone (68 percent strikes) and punching out six in three innings. His fastball touched 90, while sitting 87-89 with occasional arm-side run, and had life up in the zone. He also effectively mixed in a curveball at 76-77.
8/9/14 Kranick closed the game out for the Yankees at the Area Code Games, striking out all six batters he faced. He pitched at 87-90, touching 91, with a high effort delivery.
