2/12/17 Wiry 6-foot, 180-pound Coastal Carolina commit with room to add strength to his frame. Controlled tempo in drop-and-drive delivery with slightly crossfire landing from first base side of rubber. Out of a high three-quarter slot, fastball sat 82-83 and touched 85 mph, while he has a good feel for his change-up at 75-77. Also features two distinct breaking balls, a slider at 75-76 and a curveball at 64-66 that varied in shape, but had good depth when he got on top of it.
2/12/17 Verbally committed to Coastal Carolina as a pitcher. 6-foot, 180-pound right-handed hitter starts from a slightly open stance and strides to a wide base. His hands work when he doesn't get his weight into his front hip too early. Has wiry strength and logged an 89 mph exit velocity. Ran a 7.32 60-yard dash (has been as low as 7.11 one year ago). Exhibits active feet defensively and moves them well through the catch. Posted 89 mph arm strength across the diamond.
8/4/16 6-foot, 160-pound primary pitcher sat 81-82 topping at 83 mph from a high 3/4 arm slot. Showed solid pitchability with advanced feel for three pitches. Slider at 74-76 gives him a quality second offering. Worked three scoreless innings allowing two hits while striking out two. Showed athletic actions as a middle infielder with 86 mph arm strength.
2/14/16 6-foot, 160-pound righty continues to show development on the mound. Sat 83-84 from a high 3/4 arm slot with a deliberate delivery and loose, clean arm action. Parker should continue to add velocity as his athletic frame matures. The sophomore also showed a solid feel for a 68 mph curveball with 11/5 shape, a 77 mph slider and a 76 mph changeup with good arm speed and some late sink. The curveball is two-plane with late bite and will continue to get better as it is thrown harder.
11/7/15 5-foot-11, 160-pound right-handed hitter who ran a 7.38 60-yard dash and logged an 85-mph exit velocity. Starts from a slightly open, wide stance, rocks weight to backside and strides to square. Swing path can have a bit of length, but his approach is simple, he flashes some bat speed, hits through contact, and consistently barreled the ball throughout his BP round. Defensively, he showcased solid actions and, perhaps not surprisingly given his primary position, wound up with a pitcher's arm action to generate 86-mph arm strength across the diamond.
