8/3/13 Malone showcased his two-way potential with solid play in the outfield and success on the mound. The 6.83 runner displayed an 88 mph arm from the outfield and the ability to cover a lot of territory. Malone has an athletic 6-foot, 160-pound frame and is a legitimate two-way recruit. He worked two perfect innings on day one of the event sitting 84-86 while touching 87 mph. Malone commanded the strike zone and mixed his 72 mph curveball and 76 mph changeup effectively. He struck out three and induced five ground ball outs in his three innings of work.

6/19/13 Malone put together the performance of the day. The 6-foot, 160-pound OF/RHP started his day by running an event best 6.83 60-yard dash. He went on to showcase athletic actions and solid carry on throws of 87 mph from the outfield. Malone continued his impressive performance by taking one of the top rounds of batting practice on the day. He hits out of a square stance and incorporates a solid lower half to create a bat exit velocity of 83 mph. Malone capped his performance by sitting 84-86 on the mound out of a high 3/4 arm slot. The righty also commanded a 72 mph curveball and a 77 mph changeup. Malone will see action as an outfielder and as a pitcher for Team Pennsylvania at the 2013 Midwest Future Games on the campus of Indiana University.
