2/20/22

Physical: Highly athletic 6-foot-1, 208lb frame with strength present. 6.67 runner in the 60-yard dash.

Offensively: RHH - Balanced, even stance, as the hands showed rhythm by the ear. Utilized a barrel tip on time with a short lift and replace stride to initiate the swing through a flat path towards a two-handed finish on the backside. Stayed within the frame well and found a middle of the field approach during his round. Recorded a T98 mph bat-exit velocity, living on the sweet spot at a 63% clip, and settled into the mid-70’s in the bat-speed department. Pull-side juice to the LCF gap. 

Defensively: The primary backstop is an advanced receiver, flashing a wider, left-knee down setup in the crouch. Pop times sat consistently under 2.00 with lots of feel in the catch/throw phase. Pre-sets the feet and releases quickly from a H ¾ slot. Accurate arm up to 78 mph on his best bullet and reads down angle when blocking.

Physically: 6’1 195lb C ran a 6.87 laser timed 60-yard dash. Strong frame has solid baseball actions on both sides of the ball.

Offensively: Starts in a wide base with pre loaded hands. He uses a slight leg kick that loads him into his back side. The barrel works up through the ball.

Defensively: He receives from a new school, 1 knee down stance where he really sinks low and gets his face in the line of the pitch. When  he makes his throws to bases he gets up into a squatted stance and displays good glove to hand skill with a short arm action.

Physical: 6-foot-1, 190 pounds; strong, athletic build. 7.27 runner in the 60.
Offensively: RHH. Balanced, slightly open stance with hands up in front of back shoulder; gains some ground with leg lift while hands get straight back. strong, balanced effort with direct path to the ball and stays on plane through the zone; 2 degree bat angle into the zone via Blast Motion. Sheridan is able to produce 11.3 G’s of force with an on-plane efficiency of 78%.  Solid contact through the middle of the field; average Trackman exit velocity of 73.36 MPH; peak exit velo was 84 MPH.
Defensively: Balanced and low to the ground; quick footwork getting in line to target. soft glove to a quick, clean transfer; short, quick release with good back spin on accurate throws. 1.88-1.95 pop times. C - 78 MPH.

2022 C Thomas Sheridan (Tunkhannock) has had an impressive showing in the PM session. Has a strong, athletic frame. Barreled multiple balls in gameplay. Physical: 6-foot-1, 190-pounds. Tall athletic, lean frame. 6.97 runner in the 60; 4.58 home-to-1B.
Offensively: RHH. Feet shoulder width apart in a balanced stance with slightly bent knees, lift and replace leg kick Level swing path, weight transfer into a strong swing through the zone, makes consistent solid contact. Solid contact, up the middle approach. 85 MPH raw exit velocity.
Defensively: 1.93-1.98 pop times. Compact, low setup. Quick feet, body gets turned immediately. Transfer is around the beltline; throws held carry from a high 3/4 arm slot. C - 76 MPH.

10/26/19

6-foot-1, 180-pound right-handed hitter starts from an open stance and utilizes a short leg hang stride to begin. Showcased a long, loose swing with above average barrel whip. Registered a bat exit velocity of 84 mph and ran a 6.90 60-yard dash. Flashed above average 78 mph arm strength out of the crouch with pop times of 2.04-2.12 defensively. Definite follow in this class with athleticism in a physical frame and room to add additional strength.
