Physical: 6-foot-2, 205 pounds; Full, sturdy build.
Pitching: Starts in a glove side set up using a step up with the drive foot to start. Uses a mid-chest leg lift and keeps the torso slightly leaned over the belt. Lands inline with the plate through a long stride. USes a long arm action, with no restrictions and releases in a high ¾ slot. Finishes square to the plate. FB: Peak velo of 77 MPH, while sitting 76-77 MPH; commands both sides . SL: 71-73 MPH; short action . CH: 73-77 MPH; fading action.
Physical: Evenly proportioned, strong 5-foot-11, 185-pound frame. 8.61 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Tall, even stance with the chest bent slightly over the plate. Utilized a toe tap stride and minor stretch in the hands back towards the shoulder for launch in order to initiate the barrel through a slightly uphill path and into the hitting zone. Hit into a stiff front side while staying behind and inside the baseball keeping it off the ground and mostly on a line (50% line drive rate). Peppered the pull-side gap while staying mostly high in the posture, though the swing was really connected throughout its entirety. The timing mechanism played and heightened his confidence at the plate, getting into a rhythm early and often during batting practice. Was up to a peak of 85 mph bat-exit velocity according to Trackman Baseball.
Defensively: The third baseman demonstrated average footwork arriving on time with a soft glove hand at the fielding window. Featured a moderate center of gravity and bent at the waist at times, while taking a couple shuffles to get going on 71 mph throws across the diamond. The transfers were there and he made the play on the run with relative ease.
