Merriman continues to show why he was one of the better players in the state for his grade. He has some serious whip in his swing and the ball explodes off the bat. He drove a couple balls out to his pull side and every swing has intent behind it. He shows an above average arm from the outfield with good carry on all of his throws. Merriman has been a high performer throughout his HS career and we expect big things for this future Texas State Bobcat.

Hit: RH. Balanced stance, leg kick load trigger, rhythm in the barrel pre-pitch into a barrel tilt swing trigger hitting line drives and fly balls from pull-side to the opposite field gap.
Power: 95.8 mph max exit velocity in BP, 91.3 mph average exit velocity, 356 feet max distance, 57% of batted balls over 90 mph exit velocity.
Arm: RH. OF - 87 mph. Long arm action, accurate throws.
