4/19/19

Estimated 6-foot-3, 185-pound athletic, wiry frame. The right-hander throws from a high ¾ slot with a short arm swing. His fastball was 89-92 mph throughout the outing. Command of the fastball was on point in the 3rd-5th innings, spotting up on both sides of the sides and up and down in the zone. He also threw a slider that was 80-81 mph with 10-4 action, mainly thrown as a swing and miss pitch, flashing the ability to land in the zone for a strike. He also flashed a changeup that was 84-85 mph with depth.

Area Codes 2018
Goss pitched the next three innings and allowed two walks and three hits. He struck out four. His fastball was also 89-93. He threw a sharp, hard slider with short break at 79-82 and flashed a solid changeup at 83-84.

HS Spring 2018
The Texas A&M recruit, is an elastic, wiry pitcher who works with an attitude on the mound. Feeding off the emotion of a big game, Goss punched eight batters over seven innings of work against Katy. He sat 87-90 throughout with a high ¾, quick arm and deceptive cross-body stride. His fastball features late arm side life in the zone, and he goes right after hitters. His slider is already a swing and miss pitch at 80-84 with sharp, late break. Goss’ changeup shows similar life to his fastball at 79-82 with late fading action that was more heavy sink at times. At times, the emotion of the hotly contested game caused him to rush forward, but for the most part, his energy allowed his whippy arm to play up even quicker.

09.15.17
6-foot-1, 170-pound, lean, projectable frame. The right-hander works from a high slot with a long, loose arm swing. His fastball ranged from 88-90 mph out of the wind-up, dropping down to 85 mph out of the stretch. Shows good feel for both his changeup at 81 mph, and a tight slider with 1/7 shape at 78-79 mph.

07.19.17
6-foot-2, 168-pound, lean, projectable frame. The right-hander entered the game for one inning of relief to close out a win. He works from a high slot with a long arm stroke. His fastball jumped out of his hand at 88-89 mph, topping out once at 90 mph. His slider has short, late break at 77-78 mph with 11-5 shape. He threw two changeups with fastball arm speed at 82 mph. Look for big things from Goss for the rest of the summer.
