5-foot-8, 140-pound lean athletic frame. At the plate, the right-handed hitter clocked an exit velocity of 83 mph. (77.4 mph bat speed average). (21.7 mph hand speed average). Began in a balanced quiet stance with a compact load, then used a short controlled stride. Bat speed is above average, displays a short level swing plane and level finish. Found some barrels through his rounds. Up the middle approach. In the outfield, his best throws to the infield topped out at 75 mph; had developing footwork, consistent hands, and a clean fluid exchange. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were developing. Had a longer arm action with a ¾ slot. Performed well in the 60-yard dash, clocking a speedy time of 6.95. Capable confident on the mound, showed a short arm action and a ¾ arm angle with consistent arm speed Up-tempo type pitcher who shows decent effort. Has an athletic balance point and in line shoulders. Lands square with an athletic finish. Sat with his fastball at 74-76 mph; shows control around the zone and gradual tailing action with straight movement. (Max spin 1758; Avg 1690). Threw a 11/5 slider (68-69) with gradual action and feel around the zone command. (Max spin 1322; Avg 1281). 

VA/DC State Games

Tyree is 5-8 with a lankier athletic frame that has a lot of projection left to it. He hits from the right side from a balanced athletic stance, strides on line, no load. Hips rotate completely and he maintains good lower half balance. Hands stay inside, short to the ball, slightly uphill line drive swing path, some strength at contact, showed a good approach using the whole field, exit velocity was 77. In the outfield, gets body behind the ball and fields through it with above average hands, quick clean exchange, throws from a lower three-quarters arm slot, short arm action, position velocity was 73. Ran a 6.99 60 yard dash. On the mound, he throws from a lower three-quarters arm slot, very short free arm action and normal effort to his delivery. Shoulders are slightly uphill and closed, lands closed with an athletic finish. Fastball was 73-76, with some armside run to it and heavy sink. Curveball was 66-69 with good armspeed and gradual 10/4 break to it. Showed a change-up in warm-ups with some armspeed and heavy sink.
