Power / Speed Score
A simple calculation that divides the athlete’s Exit Velocity Max by the athlete’s 60 Yard Dash time for the given event year. For example, 98 MPH / 7.00s = 14.00.
Long lanky 6-foot-1, 165-pound frame. Narrow frame with sloped shoulders. Normal effort delivery, average arm circle length, and three-quarter arm slot. Strides on line and opens slightly early with the shoulders. Came on in relief for three innings of work for an extended save. The fastball sat 77-79 mph and when he stayed behind it, it showed late arm side run that ran away from some right handed hitters. The slider sat 69-71 mph and varied in shape at times, but was best when it had more horizontal break and sweeping action to it.

Winebarger is 5-10 with a thin lanky frame that has a lot of projection left to it and room to add strength. Throws from a high three-quarters arm slot, short free arm action and normal to easier effort to his delivery. Has some drop and drive, hids the ball a bit as well, shoulders are uphill and closed, lands slightly closed with an athletic finish. Fastball was 75-77 with a bit of late armside run to it. Curveball was 60-66 with big gradual 1/7 break, break was tighter at the higher end of the velo range and he showed the ability to manipulate the pitch based on when he was throwing it and whether he was trying to get a swing or get a called strike. Change-up was 65-67 with good armspeed and late fade to it. Showed confidence in all three pitches in any count and also the ability to command the fastball and curveball in and around the zone. Showed a lot of pitchability, kept hitters off balance, nine strikeouts with just one walk and not a lot of hard contact. A lot to like here with a chance to add velocity as he fills out.
