2.5.17 (PBR Super 60 Pro Showcase) - Vanderbilt recruit. 6-foot-4, 200-pound switch-hitting catcher, lean, long, athletic build with plenty of room for continued physical development. Shows raw power potential from both sides of the plate with loose, athletic hands and present bat speed. From the left side, flashed more juice, longer path and less refined. Right side shows more balance and control. Registered 93 mph exit velocity from the left side, 97 from the right. Defensively, receives from a wide base, average arm strength, 76 mph from the crouch. Showed advanced ability to throw from his knees, quick release with some carry. Pop times from knees were 1.93 and 1.94; traditional pop times were 2.01-2.04. Athletic for size/frame; ran a 7.30 laser-timed 60.

3.15.16 - Solomon has a tall, projectable, athletic frame and is a switch hitter. He hit exclusively from the left side in this game. He has an athletic stance and takes a big leg kick stride with a smooth load back and a slight wrap. He has an explosive lower half and generates power to all fields. He has a very quick hands and is short to the ball. He has explosive bat speed and gets good extension. He showed a good approach during the game, using the entire field. He has light-tower power to his pull side and gap power to the opposite field with the potential to have home run power to all fields by the time he graduates. Behind the plate, Solomon has a short arm action that is loose and quick and he throws from a three-quarters slot. His arm is strong and he had a 1.97 between inning pop time.

9.23.15: Solomon has an athletic 6-4 frame that is very projectable. He has decent speed for his size, running a 7.40 60 yard dash. Solomon is a switch hitter, and from the right side he has an upright stance, a leg kick stride, and a bit of a wrap to his load. He has a long path but an explosive lower half and a very fast bat and he gets good extension through the ball. From the left side, Solomon has an athletic stance, a big leg kick and a smooth back load. He has good rhythm and balance throughout his swing. He has an explosive lower half and is short to the ball with explosive bat speed. He has legit home run power and posted and exit velocity of 95. Behind the plate, Solomon throws from a high three-quarters arm slot with a short arm action that is very loose, hitting 77 on his throw downs. He has a quick release and gains ground as he works through the ball. He showed decent accuracy on his throws and all of his pop times were between 1.97 and 2.00.

3.19.15:  Big body.  Strong. Leverage.  Showed arm strength and accuracy behind the plate.  Had an in game pop time of 2.08.  Best on the night was a 1.98 in between innings.  Showed good receiving skills.  Needs to improve stance and footwork.  Plus power at the plate.  Stays inside the ball well and stays on balance throughout the swing.  Stays through the middle of the field.

Top Prospect Games 11/8-11/9/14:  Solomon is a 6-foot-4, 215 pound, switch-hitting catcher. Left-handed hit from a wide stance that was balanced with low hands. Power present now, short to the baseball, stayed on backside well, had great extension. Posted an exit velocity of 90 mph off of the tee. Right-handed, hit from a wide stance with low hands.  Had a line drive approach that stayed in the middle of the field. Had minimal movement, slight rhythm, stayed through the baseball with a gap-to-gap approach.  Defensively, Solomon is a huge target behind the plate. Throws from a high three-quarters arm slot. Moves well out of the crouch, has a short arm arc, quick feet, and a quick transfer. Has average arm straight with a 68 mph positional velocity. Posted pop times of 2.16 to 2.26.
