Was very consistent with his corner placement with both his breaking ball and fastball, induced plenty of weak contact with offspeed. Pumped strikes for most of the game. He displayed a strong fastball all weekend sitting around 76-77 mph. His 11-5 breaking ball was 67-69 and was giving hitters trouble all day. Final line: 4.0 IP, W, 2 H, 0 ER.

RHP/INF Brayden Alivo (St. Thomas More, 2026) represented Team Wisconsin at the PBR Junior Future games this past summer, and was a prospect our staff was looking forward to seeing at this event. He is listed at an athletic and projectable 5-foot-10, 145-pounds. Alivo showed well, especially on defense where he showed athletic and smooth actions from the infield position. He showed a quick arm with accuracy across the diamond that produced a max velocity of 81 mph on throws to first. At the plate, he hammered balls through the middle and to the pull-side gap resulting in a max exit velocity of 80.7 mph. On the mound he featured a three-pitch mix with a clean and balanced delivery. His fastball sat 76-78 mph (78.3 max) with some arm-side action. His curveball featured an 11/5 shape with short action, and his changeup flashed above average sink action with 14.1’ of horizontal movement.

Alivo is listed at a projectable 5-foot-9, 140 pounds and is another prospect that made the trip down to LakePoint for the Junior Future Games. During the entire weekend, Alivo’s athleticism was put on display in many different aspects of the game as he was able to tally a handful of hits and was a lockdown defender on the infield, too.
7/26/22
Listed at 5-foot-9, 140 pounds showed well in the workout. Alivo is athletic with good body control with smooth actions both at the plate and in the field. He works with a stock set up and has a direct handsy swing which allows him to spray line drives to all fields. Future power should come with more strength. Alivo also displayed rhythmic feet and soft hands in the infield portion of the workout with accurate throws across indicating the ability to make plays in the middle of the diamond.
6/11/22
At a projectable 5-foot-9, 140-pounds, Alivo strung together a big game for PTA Cardinal squad in their win to start their weekend. Hitting in the three hole and also playing SS, Alivo tallied a pair of singles to drive in one run to lead this PTA squad to the win. Also he made some tough plays defensively, ranging well from side-to-side and showing carry/accuracy on all of his throws. This was our staff's first time seeing Alivo since the Milwaukee Rising Stars ID event, where he came away as a winner.
4/05/22
Alivo authored another one of the day’s top bullpens. Listed at 5-foot-8, 135 pounds, Alivo spins his fastball well (2,035 rpm max) for both its velocity (73-74 mph) and his age, so the pitch naturally projects. It, too, showed some carry/run characteristics and he was attacking the zone with it consistently. He showed repeat confidence in his changeup, as its sinking action that flashed late really added to the pitch’s deception, given its similarities to his fastball out of the hand and on its way to the plate. Alivo’s curveball feel is also above-average for his age; a short wrinkle type that spun at 1782 rpm on average on Tuesday. Alivo was one of the most polished and well rounded skillful players in attendance. In the box, he stood balanced with athletic rhythm, and and made tight rotational attacks to the baseball. He changed planes well, worked from inside to all pitches, and was short to impact. On the infield he had fundamental actions through the entire defensive segment. Fielding and throwing looking reliable and advanced for his age.
