INF Brendan Scheel (Martin Luther, 2025) is a strong 6-foot-4, 242-pound infielder that took a loud round on Tuesday. At the plate, from the right-side Scheel produced easy bat speed and consistently leveraged baseballs driving them in the air to the pull side. Scheel has easy bat strength, recording the highest exit velocity of the day at 97.1 mph and the farthest batted ball at 361 feet. The loud round caught the eyes of our scouts and Scheel will be a name-to-watch moving forward into the summer circuit.

His short path contributes to his feel to hit, while his strength and 6-foot-4, 240-pound frame provide the power, maxing at 97.4 mph in the exit velocity department. In the field, the junior showed feel around the bag to go with an accurate arm across the diamond. Scheel combined hit and power as well as anyone in Sunday’s event.

Of those eight hits two of them went for extra bases with two doubles and also drove in five runs and added five more himself and was integral to two Spartan wins this past week. Scheel is leading the team in hitting with a .441 batting average on the season.
