Liggon he has a slightly different profile than his brother, as a right/right infielder with left side defensive actions. This athleticism transfers over to the diamond as he wreaks havoc on the basepaths to only add to his already impressive skill set. Caleb’s bat-to-ball skills are also strong from the right-handed box, and he, too, is an impressive basketball prospect. The projectability and athleticism is real for these twin brothers, and both are names to keep a close eye on as they continue their prep career.
6/10/22
Long, athletic frame, long levers with good proportions. At the plate, Liggon sets up tall and utilizes a short trigger and short stride, rhythmic flow to hitting position with shorter direct path with length through contact. Viewed two hard contact ground balls driven to six hole. Displayed ability to see breaking balls and keep hands back. Showed clean athletic actions at the hot corner with repeatable high ¾ short arm producing accurate throws with carry through the bag. Later on in the weekend, Liggon toed the rubber and was equally impressive with his low effort, deliberate delivery. Throws his pitches out of the same slot and arm speed, control of the zone. Worked his fastball around 71-73, his curveball sat between 61-64 and was thrown with intent. Threw 74% strikes in his complete game win against Legacy Adidas. Generated weak contact, not many balls left the infield. His final stat line: 6IP 3H 1R 0BB 0K
