South Florida recruit, currently ranked No. 6 in the state. Standing at 5-foot-10, 145 pounds with clear room to add to the frame. Started at shortstop and hit second in the lineup for the Falcons, going 1-for-3 at the plate with a mature approach, with natural bat-to-ball traits having made contact every time he swung the bat. Twitchy athlete, with an advanced skillset both offensively and defensively. Smooth and athletic actions with range defensively with enough arm strength to stick at shortstop moving forward. The left-handed hitting shortstop is a rising prospect in the region and a follow for this year’s MLB draft.

Hit: LHH. Upright setup, easy rhythm and flow, gets to strong loaded hitting position on time, hitterish feel to it. Direct, short and compact through the baseball, simple, line drives with feel for the barrel. 64.7 mph bat speed with 10 G's of rotational acceleration.
Power: 91 max exit velocity, averaged 81.2 mph. 334' max distance.
Arm: RH. INF-85 mph. Arm has carry, smooth and easy from all angles.
Defense: Natural actions, soft hands, easy athleticism, rangy, quick and athletic first step.

Hit: LHH. Rhythmic and relaxed start, small leg lift into controlled stride, simple and easy. Loose bat speed, whippy out front, well sequenced swing through the ball, well balanced through the ball, sprays line drives to all fields with barrel control. 67.1 mph bat speed with 8 G's of rotational acceleration.

Arm: RH. INF-87 mph. Quick trigger, athletic and whippy arm action, plays on the move and from multiple slots.

INFJack Lutz (Whitnall, 2025; Indiana State Commit) is a top-10 ranked player in the state, and after Saturday’s event he reminded us exactly why he should be near the top of that list. The left-handed hitter has a smooth and repeatable swing that produced notable exit velocities and reached a max exit velocity of 92.3 mph and an average exit velocity of 87.0 mph which was amongst the day's. In the infield, Lutz ranges to the ball with ease and makes the routine play look easy. His arm was up to 87 mph across the infield and should easily stick at short at the next-level. Lutz will likely fill out and tap into even more raw power, arm strength and foot speed with more lower half strength and power. The future is bright for the Indiana State commit and our staff is looking forward to watching him perform this spring and summer.

It was our first look at MIF Jack Lutz (Whitnall, 2025) since his notable performance at the Future Games back in late July and it definitely did not disappoint. At the plate, Lutz works with rhythm and utilizes a quick, simple load that creates a whippy left-handed barrel. Throughout the weekend, Lutz’s offensive abilities were on full display, highlighted by a 3-for-4 performance on Friday night, which included a double and two singles. On the infield, Lutz locked down shortstop for the entirety of the tournament; there he continued to show as a sure-handed and athletic defender that certainly looks the part of sticking up-the-middle at the next level.

There weren’t many moments where MIF Jack Lutz (Whitnall, 2025) wasn’t on base for Team Wisconsin this past weekend, as the incoming junior finished his three-game stint with an OBP of .750. Unafraid of the big moment, Lutz faced multiple upper-80s and low-90s arms that he earned hits or reached base off of, reflecting his work throughout the summer in both live action and in a showcase setting. The left-handed batter put up quality numbers during his BP session on Wednesday, hitting a ball a max distance of 326 feet. As he continues to add strength onto his 6-foot, 150-pound frame, his numbers will additionally improve, both offensively and defensively. Lutz reached 85 mph from across the infield, previously reaching 86 mph at PBR Wisconsin’s Top Prospect Games in Milwaukee a couple weeks prior to this national event. To complement his noted arm strength, Lutz took a clean round of infield, translating to Team Wisconsin’s games, where the middle infielder was steady and reliable. His all-around performance was the perfect illustration of Lutz’s success throughout the lengthy summer. The incoming junior provided many upside looks for himself in a short amount of time, trending up as a prospect-to-know in the greater Milwaukee area for the next few years. 

PBR Future Games: MIF Jack Lutz (Whitnall, 2025) is a slick defender up-the-middle and during Wednesday’s workout he arguably took one of the top defensive rounds of the entire day for Team Wisconsin. Listed at a high-upside 6-foot, 150-pounds, Lutz is a clean and athletic mover on the infield, pairing it with a strong arm that topped at 85 mph across the infield during his defensive workout. Offensively, he swings a clean left-handed bat that we have seen collect a multitude of hits in live looks previously and he is certainly a name-to-know heading into the gameplay portion throughout the week.

Recently, MIF Jack Lutz (Whitnall, 2025) was one of the standout performers at the PBRT Rock Open just a couple of weeks ago, and he brought that momentum into Tuesday’s loaded event. Standing at an upside 6-foot, 150-pounds Lutz offers a clean left-handed stroke with loose hands/wrists that was able to shoot line drives from gap-to-gap with ease, and he recorded a max exit velocity of 89.3 mph. Lutz really shined during the infield defense portion of the day as his athleticism was on full display as he was able to range to both sides, pairing it with sure-handed actions and an accurate arm that was up to 86 mph across the infield. While Lutz’s round of BP was a quality showing in its own right, his bat-to-ball skills are something that have impressed across a number of looks, and the live gameplay portion of Tuesday’s event was no different. In his five at-bats, Lutz notched two hits, one walk and drove in one RBI, all while being a solid up-the-middle defender. Later this month, Lutz will be traveling down to Georgia to represent Team Wisconsin at the PBR Future Games, where he will join the nation's top uncommitted talent and compete in front of over 300 college and professional scouts.

Hit: LHH. Tall high-hand start, bat tip load, strides short.  Loose hands/wrists, fluid. Short and level path with leverage out front. Gap-to-gap approach.  64.8 mph bat speed with 6 G’s of rotational acceleration.
Power: 89 max exit velocity, averaged 84.7 mph. 320’ max distance.
Arm: RH. INF - 86 mph. 3/4 slot, quick arm, accurate.
Defense: Athletic, clean actions. Smooth and accurate.
Run: 7.20 runner in the 60.

 Playing up a year, Lutz is a projectable wiry framed athlete at 6-foot 125-pounds. Offensively, he displays a short direct handsy swing, viewed a couple hard contact balls showing barrel control. Reliable hands and accurate arm from 3/4 slot at shortstop. Made a rangy play in the six-hole, gloving a ball to the backhand making a strong throw to first base.

Lanky, loose-levered frame, high-waisted with upside, too. Started at shortstop for Halos 14U Red throughout the weekend during the PBR at The Rock Championships - where he projects best long-term. Sure-handed actions, soft hands that work out front of body, clean funnels inward to midline, quick hand transfer to release. Some length in the arm action, finishes from a high ¾ window; comfortable dropping down to a lower angle on the move. Left-handed hitter that starts tall in the box, slightly open front foot, active pre-pitch rhythm that stops prior to load. Short/smooth hand load, level bat path, line drive type approach. Advanced bat-to-ball skills for age, fouled multiple balls off and worked competitive counts all weekend without much swing-and-miss. Went 3-for-4 on Saturday night with four barrels and tripled to the RF wall. Top-of-the-order profile that will have enhanced value because of his glove and left-handed prowess.
