Delivery: 3B side of rubber, high tuck with balance, good direction to the plate.
Arm Action: RH. Medium draw, up on time.
FB: T82, 81-82 mph. Downhill through spots, good touch and feel, some natural cut. T2476, 2361 average rpm.
SL: 72-74 mph. Short quick breaker with lateral break, can land and expand the zone with the pitch. T2324, 2292 average rpm.
CH: 76-79 mph. Good sell with arm speed. T2263, 2202 average rpm.
CUT: 77-80 mph. Short quick breaker, shorter version of the slider.

6-foot-1, 195-pound frame. Forbes shined on the mound Friday night picking up eight strikeouts in 5.2 innings pitched while only allowing one run. Forbes worked through a high ¾ slot with a short, clean arm action with effort. Pitched out of the stretch, high leg lift, lands towards the left-handed batter’s box, tall and fall approach. Heavy usage of the fastball which sat in the low 80s, topping out at 83 mph with arm-side run, being very effective in the top of the zone. A name to keep an eye on in the Spring.

Forbes is listed at 6-foot-1, 185 pound pitching prospect with a four pitch arsenal. First, his 80-81 mph fastball from a three-quarter slot works to areas of the zone to set up his secondary offerings. He’s got a short quick lateral breaking cutter, a slider with 10/4 shape, and a changeup with heavy late fade at the plate. Forbes is an interesting prospect with a feel to pitch
