Top Prospect Games: Preview

Austin Sharp
Director of Scouting

This Tuesday's Top Prospect Games is shaping up to be the best event that we have hosted in terms of talent that has signed up. This event has been sold out for some time now, as spots for this showcase filled up fairly quickly. Choccolocco Park in Oxford, AL is set to be the host site, as this was also where the Underclass Games was held not even a week ago. This venue is a first-class complex with multiple fields.

As always, you can always count on us to keep you updated throughout the event on social media, especially Twitter. We will be pumping out some heavy content about some of the top players that will be in attendance. You can follow along at the hashtag named "#ALTPGames20." We will provide unprecedented coverage prior, during, and after the event.

Today, we are going to take a look at some of the players that we are excited to see at this event. In addition to this, we will take a look back at last year's successful event and the numerous commitments that have given their verbals to college programs. We expect this year's crop of talent to be the same, if not better. Rosters and Teams and the Itinerary for the showcase will also be provided below as well.

Let's dive in...

This is a very lengthy list with some of the top uncommitted talent that the state of Alabama has to offer in the 2021 and 2022 class. Moving on to the pitchers that will throw during gameplay, there will be no shortage of high-end arms that have some upside on the mound. Some of the RHP's that are sure to impress on the mound are '22 RHP Connor Aderholt (Shelby County), '22 RHP/3B Josh Bowerman (Mars Hill Bible), '22 RHP/SS Skyler Hutto (West Morgan, Alabama recruit), '22 RHP Austin Morris (Mortimer Jordan), '22 RHP Thrasher Steed (Gulf Shores), and '22 RHP Jase Gray (Gadsden City). In addition to these right-handed hurlers, there will be some projectable southpaws who will also take the mound during gameplay. This includes '21 LHP Cole Cheatham (Ardmore), '22 LHP Reid Gongwer (Chelsea), '22 LHP Steven Cash (Bibb County), and '22 LHP Brodey Lentz (Lauderdale County).

In addition to these players, we know that there will be many more impressive and talented prospects who will be at this event. All together, this event contains a deep crop of uncommitted talent.
