On Saturday, Sept. 23, Prep Baseball Report is hosting its inaugural High School All-American Game at American Family Field, home of the Milwaukee Brewers. The unique event will feature the nation’s top high school seniors who are set to battle against a roster of the country’s best juniors in Class of 2024 vs. Class of 2025 action, giving pro scouts a unique look at current and future draft classes.

We’ve begun to unveil the event’s participants on our social media channels, and we’ll spotlight those players more closely on our site, too, highlighting past performances and scouting reports from the live looks we’ve gathered on this gifted group throughout the years.

Next we are highlighting shortstop Billy Carlson, a Vanderbilt recruit and one of the top-10 players in our recent 2025 rankings update. Carlson exploded onto the national scene at the 2022 PBR Future Games, where the California representative put together a stellar two-way showing.

Check out what Prep Baseball Report's VP of Scouting Shooter Hunt had to say about Carlson after this year's area code games: "Not in peak form throughout the week, Carlson still racked up three hits and two walks while playing his usual elite defense on the dirt. Still wiry-athletic at 6-foot-1, 170-pounds, the right-handed hitter showcased some solid adjustments at the plate throughout the week with a smooth stroke that should see significant gains as more strength is added. Confident in the box with fluid hands his closed, crouch stance provides its best path to the back side gap with the bat speed hinting at more power to come."
